Did that Vladdy foul ball before the walk to load the bases really reach 120mph?

I don't know where to find foul ball velocity in real time, just next day.

Is it sad that I just watched this about 40 times in a row? And I am sober?

Can someone please post the exit velo on the second one? I'd say > 113 mph

I really dislike Montoyo. 7-2 lead, a young pitcher deserves a chance to finish that inning. I know he's at 102 pitches but come on, show him some confidence.

He's already walked a few guys in the inning, up over 100 pitches. The only part that would make it questionable is in not burning a reliever with the pitching spot coming up (unless Hudson hits).

Is there a worse position group in baseball than our OFers?

Yeah, they're on the other side of the diamond

How was Thornton tonight, just tuning in now.

Too many walks, but other than that, he looked really good.

Inconsistent. His secondaries were excellent, he got a bunch of swinging strikes on them, but the fastball command was lacking and he missed high and away a lot. He threw a bunch of good pitches near the bottom of the zone but I don't think he got a single one called for a strike. Good stuff, below average command. Overall it was pretty encouraging.

More of the same it sounds like, not terrible we'll take it with the depth we have at the moment I think .

They never call a ball when the batter leans in to get hit by a pitch, how exactly is that any different?

He got two hits though and cashed them both in for Runs :D

I mean he literally did throw his shoulder into it, it wasn't really debatable.

My point is that when batters do that, the umps give 'em first base regardless.

That's interesting, so it has it there, but not in the individual games on the savant site. The play by play files from the API only list it for the balls in play too.
