Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Did that Vladdy foul ball before the walk to load the bases really reach 120mph? I don't know where to find foul ball velocity in real time, just next day.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Is it sad that I just watched this about 40 times in a row? And I am sober? Can someone please post the exit velo on the second one? I'd say > 113 mph
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I really dislike Montoyo. 7-2 lead, a young pitcher deserves a chance to finish that inning. I know he's at 102 pitches but come on, show him some confidence. He's already walked a few guys in the inning, up over 100 pitches. The only part that would make it questionable is in not burning a reliever with the pitching spot coming up (unless Hudson hits).
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I tried to embed the tweet...not sure it worked

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 Man Longoria worked the hell out of us.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Wow, big game from Vladdy! Picked a bad game to miss most of I guess. Definitely gonna tune into Jays in 30 today. Awesome to see the boxscore!

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 Lol Pillar, we haven't seen that sort of display from him in a very long time.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 That's not a triple Buck you f***wad
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Man, you don't see Pillar f*** up like that very often.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Is there a worse position group in baseball than our OFers?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Tabby wants batters to have the green light 3-0 100% of the time. f*** I hate that so much.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 How was Thornton tonight, just tuning in now.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 Some very questionable takes by Teoscar.
tbad Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Is there a worse position group in baseball than our OFers? Yeah, they're on the other side of the diamond
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 How was Thornton tonight, just tuning in now. Too many walks, but other than that, he looked really good.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 How was Thornton tonight, just tuning in now. Inconsistent. His secondaries were excellent, he got a bunch of swinging strikes on them, but the fastball command was lacking and he missed high and away a lot. He threw a bunch of good pitches near the bottom of the zone but I don't think he got a single one called for a strike. Good stuff, below average command. Overall it was pretty encouraging.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 Ugh McKinney, you can't be caught with your pants down like that. Very dumb move.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Ball looked like it might have hit him regardless.

More of the same it sounds like, not terrible we'll take it with the depth we have at the moment I think .
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 They never call a ball when the batter leans in to get hit by a pitch, how exactly is that any different?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Surprised Charlie didnt come out and argue?
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 More of the same it sounds like, not terrible we'll take it with the depth we have at the moment I think . He got two hits though and cashed them both in for Runs
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Author Posted May 15, 2019 They never call a ball when the batter leans in to get hit by a pitch, how exactly is that any different? I mean he literally did throw his shoulder into it, it wasn't really debatable.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I mean he literally did throw his shoulder into it, it wasn't really debatable. My point is that when batters do that, the umps give 'em first base regardless.

That's interesting, so it has it there, but not in the individual games on the savant site. The play by play files from the API only list it for the balls in play too.
