Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 That 1-1 swing from Grichuk was definitely not part of any plan unless the guy is completely brain dead. How do you extend a player who has such horrible pitch recognition? We get it buddy, you hate Grichuk and Atkins, he's hit well recently if you take the blinders off. https://www.fangraphs.com/statsplits.aspx?playerid=10243&position=OF&season=2019
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 That was so out that it should count for two outs.

Key22 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Grichuk is a fine signing if in 2022 he is the number 8 or 9 hitter. Pillar is a fine player if he is your 9 hitter. Problem is this is if you have a playoff baseball team. When these guys are anywhere in the top 6 it's a sign of a bad baseball team. If Stroman and Sanchez are 4 and 5 in the rotation that's pretty good. When they are 1, 2 again weak baseball team. Shatkins have until 2022. If they are not a playoff team by then...they have failed. That's 4 years including this year. If they can't fix it by then pink slips should go out.

Shatkins just gave him 50 million And you want him to be an 8th hitter

Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 "Drury doesn't care where he plays in the lineup" Ofcourse not. For any other franchise he would be on the bench or at AAA
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Cron in his first AB was looking slider/curve the whole AB, then pretty much figured he'd get a first pitch fastball in his second AB and jumped on it. These are the types of in game adjustments and smart assumptions that is needed in the MLB. These are the valuable lessons that are taught from the batting and bench coaches. If your are in the bigs, you don't have to be taught how to hit.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 We are averaging more errors than runs this week per game lmao
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Hey Rowdy, try sticking out your glove next time, thanks.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 We have them right where we want them... Lull them into complacency and slowly chip away before we walk it off..
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Biggio already 2 for 2 tonight. Just another 400 plate appearances at AAA and he might get a september call up.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Was he not out of the baseline there?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Was he not out of the baseline there? It was close, but it looked ok.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 How many PAs has Brito had...? I think 60 is the magic number..
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Grichuk missed that strike 3 curveball by 4 feet. I know hitting is hard, but all 73 people at the dome knew a breaking ball as coming....why doesn't Grichuk?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 How many PAs has Brito had...? I think 60 is the magic number.. Hey Ross, how do you like your crow? "Medium well with a little Brito sauce".
