You gotta feel terrible for Hess here. He completely dominated and to be pulled at only 82 pitches is tough. Props to him, we were bad but he was painting with his fastball pretty much all game long.

At this point I'd just option Hernandez for Alford. He's not a good player.

OK - it's getting hard not to agree with tercet re: LGJ

He has no clue.

It's the first f***ing week man, give him at least a month before we can say he's clueless. No one on the team is hitting right now.

Galvis attaboy!

I get why Phillies fans loved Galvis so much. Missed catch today aside, he's a nice little player.

He's had 20 plate appearances. It's far too early and he's only struck out 4 times and he's walked twice.

I don't really care about the slow start with the bat, because he's going to hit a bit eventually, but his defense has been terrible. Two bad throws on the pivot in the Detroit series, and then the poor feed to Galvis today.

It's more that he's been bad his whole career. I really don't like Hernandez as a player.

I agree with the defense, that needs to get much better. That wasn't really a bad feed to Galvis though, it's a routine flip that you make just to the right of the bag so the shortstop has the momentum to make the return throw.
