BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Looks like we don't see him until at least June.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Looks like we don't see him until at least June. June June is the new September. So when we put him on the 60 day, that frees up a roster spot on the 40 man correct? Adam will replace Lieter on the 40 man I assume, since Lieter will be on the 60 day. Correct?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I feel bad for Travis as a human... But as a ball player, just cut bait already. He's done.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 He'll have a setback during rehab as usual, poor guy is done. Second base is LGJ's to lose.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Wow man, feel bad for Devo but I think it's time to move on....
Layzer1999 Verified Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 This guy is made of glass. When he recovers send him to the minors or waive him.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Welp. He was my favorite player in his first year here but he’s probably done now. Sad. Like Brett Lawrie, sad to see such talent wasted.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Sucks because he was so good his first two years and seems like a really good guy but yeah his career might be winding down. At least he made a couple million in that span.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Are we looking at Galvis at SS and LGJ at 2nd to start the season? (with Drury at 3rd)
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Are we looking at Galvis at SS and LGJ at 2nd to start the season? (with Drury at 3rd) Yup, and depending on whether we see Ureña or Sogard as the backup infielder then we could see Gurriel with some SS reps, Drury seeing some time at 2B, and Gurriel also getting the occasional appearance in the outfield.
flafson Verified Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Can’t believe how so much talent can be so wasted by freak injuries, I really hope he saved most of the money he made because I don’t see any life changing amounts coming his way.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Travis’ return will be delayed after a setback, he’ll play a few games in the minors, struggle for a month or so in the majors, end the season injured, and then admit defeat and retire. You don’t come back from chronic knee injuries with continual tears. Playing on will put his health in jeopardy, it wouldn’t be good to need knee replacement surgery in his early 30’s.
