Which game would you want to attend more?

Isn't this going to be obvious? The Opener blows, I haven't gone since I got tickets off Hurl... too many retards.

Why does Opening Day suck? I've never been to a Jays opener but the Rockies openers are always a good time.

If you like dodging thrown half full beer cans and watching fights, sure. I'd rather go the next day.

I think I've been to 25 openers or something like that...but I've done so since 2009 only because a friend gets group seats and it lowers the annoying people around me. It's just the worst kind of Jays fan that heads to the opener. I appreciate drinking at a game and I've been pretty drunk at times...but baseball never bores me. About 30% of the drunks at the opener are bored. Which means they want to throw things, pick up or start a wave...all of which should start a fight.

That's a great point.

The best fans are there during mid-week late April games...when it's not cool or trendy to be there.

I voted for Vlad's debut but you could have replaced that with "literally any other game" and I'd have voted for that too. The home opener is filled with drunk morons who don't give a rat's ass about baseball.

This - I second this.

Remember when the Jays had the $2 500 level seat promotion? Those were the times. Apparently the one time I went on that deal, I was lucky and it was pretty tame. Heard much dumber stories.

Sorry guys I didn't realize Opening Day was such a s*** show in TO. It's basically a national holiday in the US.

You have to keep in mind that we have one of the worst fanbases in all of baseball. At the HO, a bunch of idiot Leaves fans who can't afford hockey tickets just go to the baseball game instead, get drunk and then get bored because they don't really like baseball and have the attention spans of fleas. Then they act like morons for the entire game.

The second game is fine. Good thing about having a bad team is that all the dumb casuals stop coming to games so tickets are cheap and the people are cool.

Opening Day is still huge for baseball fans and the city enjoys it, but a lot of the people that go to the stadium on Opening Day are not baseball fans; lots of casuals, bandwagonners if it applies, corporate people, and those who literally only go to get drunk and leave by the 6th inning or become a public disturbance.

I've always thought that if you need or want to get drunk at something - you probably don't enjoy it; however, a lot of people don't really view it that way

For example. I 'say' I like ice fishing, but the truth is, I ice fish one weekend a year and I'm loaded the whole time. If I tried to ice fish for an entire day sober - I probably wouldn't like it. So if fact, I don't like ice fishing - I like getting drunk with my old buddies, while ice fishing.

A lot of people experience this phenomenon with golf. They don't want to golf unless they can drink while golfing. Those people don't actually like golf. We all know these people - heck, you might be one of these people. There's nothing technically wrong with these people, except that they are confused about how much they actually enjoy golf.

And of course finally, we see it a lot with baseball. People say they like going to the dome to watch the Jays, but in reality, they really like drinking outside of their basement, while generally watching the Jays game. These folks like opening day - and fill the dome on opening day not because they like baseball, but because they know there will be a party atmosphere that caters to their enjoyment of getting loaded at the game. These folks generally ruin opening day for baseball fans and/or people with children.

I mean it could be worse - we could be the Buffalo Bills who fill their stadium with these type of people every single game. No kid under the age of about 16 should head to a Bills game.

Vlad's debut hands down. Not getting Opening Day tickets this season. Gonna stay home Thursday and stream all the games on MLB.TV in the comfort of my own home, drinking my own beer, and eating my own food!

$6 tickets on StubHub to sit anywhere in the 500's and a weeknight game in April or May likely will cost $20-$30 for very good lower level seats.

This checks out, I don't enjoy anything, so I'm drunk all the time.

Does that mean Spanky technically doesn't really enjoy anything?

20 bucks to watch Vlad and Jansen from the 100 level? Sign me up. Especially if Biggio and SRF join the fold. I wonder if Nate Pearson will make an appearance near the end of the year, too.
