Sanchez no hitter through 5 IP... I guess he's magically fixed

 

We were doing something seriously wrong with Sanchez. I can only hope that the problem was unique to him and we aren't screwing up our other young pitchers.

Astro's in particular seem to have a way of rejuvenating pitchers, so maybe it's just less on us and more on them.

 

Side note - Sanchez is at 92 through 6 IP...

Happy for Sanchez. Really hope the Astros can turn around his career. Hes a good dude.

It's crazy that the Blue Jays didn't force Sanchez to ditch the s(t)inker like the Astros did. At least give it a try for a few starts.

LMAO!!!!!!

 

Sanchez only threw 15 2-seam fastballs. 6 Innings, 0 hits, 2 BBs, 6 Ks. First game with the Astros and he was awesome throwing less 2-seam fastballs. Only the great Astros would come up with that...well and the one poster who repeatedly suggested he needed to throw more 4-seamers. Wonder who that guy was

Yeah, if he flourishes with the Astros and Fisher continues to.......(well let's say not flourish); this should be the end of Atkins in TO. I will always like Sanchez (born on July 1st for f***s sake!!). I can just see him coming in and pitching a no-hitter against the Jays on Canada Day - if so this will be the omen that signals the beginning of the Curse of the Sanchizo: heralding 86 years of purgatory and the Jays can not win the championship again until 2079. :D

Astros get the combined no hitter with Sanchez pitching six innings (with Biagini also pitching an inning).

This Sunday Night Baseball crew really sucks.

 

Mendoza and Rodriguez are both painful to listen to. Bill Simmons slammed them pretty hard last week on his podcast.
