Ken Giles says he felt fine on mound but recovery from back-to-back outings vs #Yankees last week slower than normal. Doesn’t expect to need more than the 10 days.

Can't really say that the hitting coach is doing a great job either. I might add him to the list. But then again it's Atkins who put the (lack of) talent on the field and you can't expect to coach up these scrubs all that much....

We should be careful not to confuse lack of talent with under-performance. We have both with catastrophic results.

 

We have a lot of guys that might be reasonable projected to hit .245 .310 .430 or so, the classic replacement player line..

 

The greatest prospect ever is the only one hitting the classic replacement line... the rest of them are underperforming their mediocre replacement potential by a great deal.

Just trade the good players before they die or re-sign them. f***ing god dammit. We just went through this s*** with Donaldson a year ago.

 

Nah, wait until they get hurt, or have a really bad month. That's the time to trade them. It worked with JD, Happ, etc.

 

Seriously, Atkins f***ing pisses me off. I can stomach the risk aversion but dude has no idea when to trade guys, and then we have to listen to all the BS excuses about "couldn't predict this or that". The Rays sell high with everyone. That's one of the teams you will compete with going forward, nevermind the Yankees who can have a roster full of AAA players and still kick ass.

 

Please Shatkins do something to make me optimistic about this team. One great trade will restore so much faith!

Can we just drive a stake in the heart of the Sanchez experiment? Let him gas can his way to the end of his deal while we sign Stroman. BTW I donÂ’t give a f*** what his agent says, if we actually had ANY other decent rotation options IÂ’d stick Sanchez back in the pen unhappy or not. ItÂ’s been miserable watching him start, even when it doesnÂ’t end prematurely from blisters. He has thrown his value as a starter into the toilet. IÂ’m sure the FO is hoping for a dead cat bounce so they can move him for pieces but it seems so unlikely at this point.
