I would have agreed with you guys last year since the Jays were trying to be good enough to contend for a 2nd wild card spot, but in 2019 they are better off trying to get playing time for the younger players. Even if Teoscar, McKinney, etc, are not long term pieces, at least see what they have, maybe they develop better than expected. If not, you move on.

If the Jays signed Happ and Morton for the rotation, and needed some offensive help, then I'd be down with the idea of taking advantage of the cheap FA market. But unfortunately the timetables just don't match up.

Plus not a good idea to add some veteran bodies to the roster, unless pitchers. Just backs up the many Jays position player prospects and reduces the flexibility to elevate the minor league guys that deserve it.

Oh god, I do not want to watch any more Teoscar Hernandez.

Teoscar and McKinney have like, a 2% collective chance of becoming one long term piece. I am confident in that assessment. DYEWB?

Teoscar has fap worthy exit velocity and barrel rate.

And boner killing plate discipline, pitch selection and contact rate.

Biggest disappointment with Teoscar was the defense.

His profile went from fringe CF to DH in a year. His 107 wRC+ talent from 2018 therefore goes from nice to garbage. He needs to hit a lot more. I don't see how that's possible with his peripherals.. I guess it is but he would literally have to pull the JD Martinez now.

Exactly. I was tooting this guy's horn more than anyone but he was supposed to be a good RF who could play some CF too. Instead he's a piss poor LF. What the hell happened there? Really tanked his value.

Brewers, A's, and Reds for me.

Goddamn that Brewers hat is sexy AF.

I really like the Rays, A's, Cards, Mets (sucker for orange and blue), Marlins (New logo and colour scheme are amazing) and Pirates. Not sure why Atlanta and the White Sox were so high, those hats suck balls.

The Rays always seem to have some of the sickest hats. Big ups to the team responsible for those design decisions.

Gimme Oakland any day of the week, though that Reds hat looks amazing to me for a reason I can't even understand

New Spring Training hats are in....

Jays rank 22nd. Same s***** concept with a maple leaf on a hat. So stupid.

Tigers + Marlins make some pretty awesome hats. Ones I would consider wearing even though each team is s***.

It’s so subjective, haha. I dislike that tigers logo, and one of my favourite is the Padres hat (admittedly it’s not very inventive but I love the colour scheme and font) which the author seems to hate for some reason!

The new Marlins ones are very very sleek. Like the whole Miami vice theme they’ve adopted always looked decent when the Heat did the jerseys that had similar colours

Really hope the jays add more starting pitching and bullpen help before the start of

spring training. Both at this point is really weak. Or decide to go completely young.

And let them grow as a team.

Thanks for this nugget of wisdom, todd AKA King.

man really. It's funny how most people on here like to talk s*** but

65 per cent of you are under the age of 25 and really know nothing about baseball or the jays.

And were babies when the jays won two world series in a row. And like to stir s*** up.

Gord Ash's ascent to the throne was astonishing.

Bachelor of Arts from York

Teller at CIBC

Lands his dream job - ticket window guy for Blue Jays

Promoted to a middle manager job in "Operations"

Promoted to Director of "Stadium Operations"

Promoted to Player Personnel administration role

Promoted to AGM (15 years after York).

Five years later, begins his reign as the worst GM in franchise history.

HOW!?

Dude was a f***ing climber.

Cant be any worse than AA....f*** he started in the mailroom.

That's how bad our management was back then.....:"Pat Gillicks leaving check the ticket booth"

JP sucks get rid of him.....who's in the mail room?

I realize they were both assistant GMs but how many other clubs have hired their GMs that close together that started like that.
