That one was mine. For some reason, my wife still hasn't clued in not to open the door to the cat treats while the podcast is going on.

BlueRocky and I recorded a prospect podcast yesterday. This idea was on a whim and was spawned from a botched recording from earlier this week where Laika, BR, and I recorded a shorthanded episode of Radio Scouts Podcast that went in the trash thanks to yours truly f***ing up the recording.

 

Not sure yet if this will just be a one-off special or a regular feature at the website, but we're happy to have new content for you all this week.

 

We have a brief and way-too-early discussion about the 2020 draft and who the Jays should pick if they end up with a top 5 selection, which leads into some talk about the sweeping changes that the current regime has brought to the organization from the ground up. Other subjects include Alejandro Kirk, Josh Winckowski, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (yeah, he's no longer a prospect), Hector Perez, potential returns on a Ken Giles trade, Bo Bichette, and Cavan Biggio.

Radio Scouts Podcast: Prospect Special #2

 

Welcome to the second episode of a special Prospects series at Radio Scouts.

 

Join us as we dive into Nate Pearson's fastball and compare him to other minor league pitchers; Eric Pardinho is looking great after his return from injury and has been quickly promoted to A-ball Lansing; it's IFA season and we discuss the most noteworthy signings thus far from this year's class; we then segue into discussions about Orelvis Martinez and Gabriel Moreno; briefly re-touch upon Alejandro Kirk; praise Griffin Conine's ludicrous run to start his season after a 50-game suspension; and cap things off with a follow-up mention of the obscene offensive barrage that Lourdes Gurriel Jr. continues to bestow upon the majors.

We are recording tonight. We've been trying to get a show together for awhile but we just had a bad stretch where people aren't available.
