Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 The 2 guys we thought wouldn’t be moved got moved. And Granderson and Clippard remain.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Well, at least Axford got to play for his childhood team for most of a season!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 The 2 guys we thought wouldn’t be moved got moved. And Granderson and Clippard remain. Still time... I figured the guys prior would go.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 The 2 guys we thought wouldn’t be moved got moved. And Granderson and Clippard remain. You thought Loup wouldn't get moved? He was like our best reliever with Osuna and Oh gone lol.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I did not expect to get anything for Axford.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Another high K guy. He probably sucks but the FO clearly has a type, and I like that these are the kind of guys that they target.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 You thought Loup wouldn't get moved? He was like our best reliever with Osuna and Oh gone lol. That really isn’t saying much lol.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I did not expect to get anything for Axford. Copping seems pretty bland but that's better than nothing at all. I don't think he's a guarantee to be added to the 40 man roster in November.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Last two trades have been disappointing after the big first 3 (Oh, Happ, Osuna), but considering who we traded that's not a shock. Surprised we got anything for Axford.
sdyment Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 So, just curious. With the bullpen lacking today and since he’s rule 5 eligible, and he’s 24, is there a chance he sees the bigs this season to show what he has?

I would think so, maybe immediately given how many relievers we've traded.

From what I've read, both prospects we got back have a pulse and thus represent an excellent return.

It’s a boring ass day.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I like how this management is going about things.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 This Copping guy looks terrible, much worse than that Phillies guy we just got, but I don't really care. Save a little bit of money and pick up a guy with options for org depth. Solid trade.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Oh man, what did I say I'd do if Axford got moved? Why would the Dodgers bother?
