That's how Gibbons uses his pen for some reason. Everyone has an assigned inning/role. It wouldn't be a big deal if Osuna was still out there, but taking Oh out after 6 pitches to bring in Clippard just for assigned role purposes is stupid as hell.

 

It's 2018, managers should be able to get creative, but Gibbons is old school like that.

 

I like the defined role of your best reliever facing the toughest part of the lineup. I would hope if were facing 2,3,4 Osuna would be pitching the 8th in 2018.

When he's healthy / offseason we really need to look at trading Pillar while he still has defensive value. As soon as that declines, he's probably done. Let Grichuk take over CF next year.

Nice game. We saw 7 innings out of Sro, Grichuk have a good time in CF and we didn't have heart attacks in the 9th. In an uncertain world it's always nice to beat up on the Os. I don't care how bad they are.
