How bad did the JD injury look?

 

He was just running gingerly as though he had some sort of pain on his left side. Hard to really tell what he was favoring.

True, though you could tell he was being careful not to really pump or move his left arm/side too much. Hopefully it's nothing but it didn't look good that he came right out.

I cannot contain myself any longer! Why do the Blue Jays look for ways to give Russel Martin AB's? He is a HORRIBLE hitter, and has been for years. He at best should be a back up catcher playing 2 games a week tops. The Blue Jays place him in other positions to get him more AB's. What am I missing? I feel like Frank Grimes and Martin in Homer Simpson. Am I the only one who sees him for what he is, someone who has no business playing big league baseball.

So I take it "advanced metrics" is the baseball equivalent of "fake news". Any stat that says Russel Martin can hit is either faked or meaningless. He's a bum, and most of the pitchers on the team could probably hit better than him.

Donaldson getting hurt like this for his walk year is not good for the Jays or himself.

Should have traded JD awhile ago, his value is s*** now. Not impressed with the decisions the front office has made.
