If Bichette is gone after the season, the Blue Jays have some prospects like Parker and Nimmala to fill the position in a few years. But does Josh Kasevich have the ability to play SS for the big team for 2026?

I've followed this team since the early 80's, I have never seen such gross incompetence from the GM office before. I thought JPR and Gord Ash were poor GM's, but I would give anything to have one of them over the boob that is turning the organization in to a joke. Not satisfied with merely being fleeced in trades, the clowns at the top now are giving away players literally. They would have been better served to keep Galvis and move him to 1b, you would get better production than the disaster that is Smoak/Dreary

So I take it "advanced metrics" is the baseball equivalent of "fake news". Any stat that says Russel Martin can hit is either faked or meaningless. He's a bum, and most of the pitchers on the team could probably hit better than him.

I cannot contain myself any longer! Why do the Blue Jays look for ways to give Russel Martin AB's? He is a HORRIBLE hitter, and has been for years. He at best should be a back up catcher playing 2 games a week tops. The Blue Jays place him in other positions to get him more AB's. What am I missing? I feel like Frank Grimes and Martin in Homer Simpson. Am I the only one who sees him for what he is, someone who has no business playing big league baseball.

I'm am so sick of the penny pinching ways of Rogers. I'm sick of the fact for the past 2 seasons the Blue Jays did not go all out to win (by buying at the trade deadline). They never fully committed to win and always ended up going to the post season with significant holes in the team. Now, with the white flag brazenly flying over the Skydome the only way I will get more angry is if they don't blow the who bloody thing up right now. Rogers et al have ZERO interest in winning in 2017, that much is obvious. Plus they are just plain stupid on what money they do spend. Morales was bad because this team needs a "revolving DH" with someone who CAN play D so that players can get a break from the wear and tear of artificial turf. Morales ties their hands (plus he's over rated IMO) Piearce has one good season and simply isn't that good period. He's a grossly overpaid bench warmer that shouldn't play regularly. Smoak resigning during the season was worse than piling 8 million dollars worth of money on home plate and setting it on fire. At least if it was burnt and Smoak gone there would be a roster spot open for someone who has more baseball talent than I do. It's not that they didn't resign EE, it's that they did NOTHING!!!!!!! The team was #1 in the AL in attendance and they act like they don't have a penny. Yes, they have very average players making all-star money (Tulo and Martin) but they still had money. If you take the money wasted on Morales, Smoak and Pierce you could have gotten one pretty good player (which is better than what they currently have with that money). But the main thing is that Roger's isn't committed to winning. So that's that. So please, blow up the whole team. Deal Donaldson, Happ, Estrada and Osuna (because the market for closers is insane!) for prospects. No point in keeping any of them because the window is closed and it will be many years until it ever cracks open again. Heck, if Rogers is so hot to save money call AA and find out how he managed to fool the Angles in taking Wells contract so that they can figure out how to get rid of Martin and Tulo. Fit in EE? Uh, considering Smoak has no place above AA, pretty easy. Giving Smoak a job outside of vending hotdogs is a waste of money. I am so sick of Rogers and their penny pinching ways. This team has utter garbage for 1B, RF, LF and seemingly ZERO interest to put anything other than garbage in those spots.

As we all know the Blue Jays have holes to fill at 1B, DH, and 1 or 2 OF spots and the BP. My question is, is there anyone down on the farm ready and with the talent to fill any of those holes and be more then just a replacement level type player?
