I don't think Gibby did not learn anything after Saturday's game vs Oakland (which we blew 4-0 lead)..

At that game, he went with Axford in the 8th since he though 4-0 is comfortable for him. Instead, he allowed a run with a walk and two singles.. then Clippard came in to clean the mess... I really think Clippard was un-prepared to pitch in the 8th and his pitches were very high on that day.. and he ended up allowing a grand slam to bomb the game...

I do understand that decision since Tepera pitched back to back night on Thursday and Friday, but he was pitching when we were losing on Friday.. You should not put any of 7th/8th inning set-up man or a closer when your team is losing unless they didn't pitch for a while... If Tepera didn't pitch on Friday, he would have been available to pitch in the 8th and he would have kept the 8th inning clean.

And that happened again... and it was even worse

I was watching it at the dome.

Danny Barnes was warming up in the bullpen in the 5th inning when Sanchez was labouring in the 5th. However, he got out of trouble.. so I was expecting him to pitch in the 6th inning. However, I was quite surprised when Axford came in.. Wasn't he a guy who set fire on the bomb in the 8th inning on Saturday? I really had very bad feeling, and it came true with allowing three straight hits to allow a run. (The third one was a bit unfortunate but still....)

Then Seunghwan Oh (Who was supposed to pitch in the 7th) had to come in to clean the mess. He somehow cleaned it.

Then Danny Barnes came in to pitch in the 7th, he walked the first guy, but stuck out Pujols.. and he put Loup to have left vs left with Ohtani. It worked well. Then Tepera came in

I won't talk much about Tepera because he was great for 1 1/3 inning.

Then Clippard, who came in the 8th inning... absolutely fell apart with allowing three walks in an inning. And even more problematic thing was that no one was warming up in the in the bullpen until he allowed his third walk in an inning... You know why? because Gibby wasted all the pitchers and there were only two options.. so his brain was acting so slowly when he need to decide who to put..

If Gibby didn't go with Axford and went with Barnes instead (or if Axford had clean inning) in the 6th, we would not have wasted bunch of pitchers today. So we could put Oh in the 7th, Tepera in the 8th, and Clippard in the 9th. Even if Clippard was still shaky, we should have had at least two or more options in the bullpen (Loup, and one of Axford or Barnes) I think we blew this game because of Gibby's mismanagement on using relievers.

Raptors fired Dwayne Casey even after several playoff appearances and finishing a regular season with the franchise record.

but why do they keep Gibby even though there are so many mismanagement from him? I doubt a Welsh Corgi would manage better than Gibby.

My immediate suggestion is...

1. Do not put Axford in any close games (if we are winning by few or losing by few)

2. Oh should be a closer instead of Clippard (Everyone on my section were saying the exact same thing)

3. Tepera should remain a 8th inning set-up, while Clippard can go back to his original role (7th inning). You can even try Barnes in the 7th.

4. DFA Petricka and bring someone up in Buffalo.. Maybe Tim Mayza as a second lefty pitcher?

If Gibby's mismanagement continues, he really needs to be on the chopping board.

incredible hindsight. I know I would love it if my favorite team listened to the drunk fans in the bleachers for its in-game management decisions.

This may become the new market inefficiency. You should submit these critiques to the Jays in writing. I'm sure they'd want to pick your brain more given your astounding hindsight abilities.

This team could have (and should have) won a World Series in 2015 when Gibbons was one of the worst managers in the game at the time. He has improved dramatically since the new regime took over and yet the team has declined in wins.

A manager can negatively impact a team, but he's not the reason a team is good or bad. The Jays are a true talent 85-ish win team that have suffered injuries or underachieving from players they simply couldn't afford to have that happen to, and here is the end result. Gibbons couldn't fix this even if he was the baseball version of Brad Stevens.

I will do no such thing,

You guys are responsible for my inability to get laid, and I will haunt you clowns till my last breath. You see If I could get laid, then I wouldn't need this place. But I cant

If I had Hurl's moves or Spanky's charm women would be all over me, but they aren't.

I am going to get me a mail order bride from North Korea.

That is already the best post that you've ever made on this forum.

Axford gave up 3 consecutive hits where two may have broken the bat. That was such an unlucky sequence. I think Gibby should have left him in but had a tighter leash with Clippard. What can he do, though? His best reliever acted like an idiot to get himself off the team and he has one good starter. It's not Gibby's fault that he has to roll out absolute trash like Sanchez or Biagini.

To add, how well do you think LA would be doing if Trout was playing like garbage? Both of our SS are injured, our 2Bs multiple injuries have finally reduced him to nothing, etc. FFS they are having Martin play 3B out of necessity. None of that is Gibby's fault.

Why are you defending Gibby? He should have known that Axford and Clippard has been very shaky recently.

Sure, he should definitely have gone to [insert perfect bullpen arm which he doesn't have] in that situation instead!

f***, you really should be one of those "read more, post less" kinda people.

Idk, why are you such an overreactionary dipshit? We all have our flaws, I suppose.

Lol and those are our top guys. Osuna f***ed up and Gibby is juggling a bunch of turds right now. Not sure what you want him to do.

Another mismanagement... why he would choose Tepera over Oh??? Oh has way more closing experience compared to Tepera...

More hindsight. You're a tool. And they still won.

So make like a tree.. and f*** off.
