Am I missing something? From the same article:

"Under the policy, MLB can place a player on paid administrative leave for up to seven days while it investigates."

Yeah, I posted that above.

I think it depends on the severity. If there was actual violence, I think he's done in Toronto.

Yeah and also on the documentation of it. If he beat her up and gruesome pictures emerge he's in some deep s***. Ray Rice was given a slap on the wrist until that video emerged.

So will I still be able to get my Osuna tshirt on Thursday , don’t want to waste time lining up if not? Can they really let 15,000 tshirts go to waste?

you're an idiot

I totally believe in someone being innocent until proven guilty, very much dislike how people can jump all over someone without knowing the facts.

Ah yeah, just saw that. I can't recall off the top of my head what happened to other DV cases beyond the final suspension so I don't know what MLB's usual protocol is.

She did mention on her podcast that in her fantasy leagues (which she has only started playing within the past two yeard) she automatically drops/avoids all players involved with DV as a way to fight the patriarchal system.

lmao, is this real?

Yup you're right. If he is indeed charged by the court and it didn't get dropped or he didn't beat the case, he's done from here for sure. And like I said in another post if it gets dropped but there's VIDEO evidence of him assaulting the victim, regardless of if he's charged or not, he has a good chance of being the next Ray Rice. He ended up marrying the girl and he still can't get a job with the NFL. Videos have a bigger effect than court proceedings

Does Osuna speak English or only Spanish..?

I've only heard him speak through a translator

Not sure

What is it with Closers and beating women?

Closing out the relationship. I guess no one taught them there are better ways to do that.

Not good then... If he only spoke Spanish it might give him some defense.. depending how the arrest went down.. But, that one is out the window..

Jose Reyes was put on paid leave until he was suspended a couple of months later, which was then backdated to take account of the days he missed. That was because his court date was cancelled as the charges were dropped.

Osuna will almost certainly get the same treatment - i.e. paid leave until June court date, then depending on the evidence and what happens will determine the length of the ban he gets.

I don't know how reliable the precedents are, with all that is going on in the world i wouldn't be surprised if MLB and moreso the Jays want to bring the hammer down on him.

People hoping for a light suspension based on the Reyes and Chapman precedents might be underestimated how much more PR pressure the Jays will be under due to the nature of the market. And the point about how Escobar's transgression was treated is very relavent here, i honestly would be shocked if Osuna emerges from this with "just" a 15-30 game suspension.

personally I don't care what he does. Just pitch well. I am not the SJ or any other police. I just want wins

I'm going to reserve judgement until we hear what actually happened. We don't know if he never laid a hand on his girlfriend or if he beat the living s*** out of her. Police would arrest him no matter what.
