Eh, Grichuk is a decent lottery ticket type to take a chance on. Maybe he becomes a better power hitter at the Dome and combined with D and speed is a ~2 WAR player in right.

 

But yeah, as Shatkins begins to start bringing guys up from the farm system, less high K hackers would be a nice change. Vladdy's sexy BB/K numbers will be fun to watch.

When Pearce gets hurt, I'd like to see Teoscar get some starts if Grichuk is still struggling. Going with the hot hand would be fully justifiable with Grichuk's $2.6m salary.

That was so brutal. I think by the third pitch he was completely rattled and had no idea what to do. He took it right down the middle and then tried to act like he got walked. I think he was just embarrassed at that point.

Well, we split with a vastly superior team, and then took 2/3 from a s***** team with the one loss being a 1 run game. I mean, not great, but could have been a lot worse.

You knew this game was over when two runners were on with 0 out, Grichuk was up 3-0 in the count and swung at 2 straight balls so far out of the strike zone that he would have needed 10 additional inches on his bat to even make contact. Just one of those games.

 

I think that was the worst AB I've seen a blue jay have in my life.
