Grichuk strikes out way too much. He doesn't have the kind of power to excuse such a high K rate. I reckon it's why St Louis shipped him off.

 

Actually, he has incredible power. The Jays took a flyer on him and one of the main reasons is because he has so much power. The hope is that as he matures, he develops more discipline and can develop into a more dangerous hitter. He's played 7 games and guys want to s*** all over the guy. He looked awful in that at bat last night - there's no doubt. Maybe he's pressing a bit as he tries to fit in on a new team? It's a pretty natural phenomenon. Perhaps we could cut the kid a break and stop freaking out about one at bat and one game?
