jerb Verified Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Hazel Mae Verified account @thehazelmae For those asking, the #BlueJays games scheduled to be on Facebook exclusively are April 18 vs. #Royals and May 24 vs. #Angels. More dates could be added by #MLB Hazel Mae Verified account @thehazelmae To clarify, #MLB has sold exclusive broadcast rights to a number of weekday afternoon games to Facebook. The April 18 and May 24 games are now no longer available to Sportsnet to broadcast. You can still follow the #BlueJays along the #Sportsnet Radio Network.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Oh good, according to the tweet comments (notoriously reliable), the Facebook feed won't even be available in Canada.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I seriously have to log onto Facebook to watch Blue Jays games. Seriously Facebook is the most useless form of social media in the current year. I stopped using it 5 or 6 years ago.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 LOL @ not having a VPN in 2018. I enjoy your contributions and I think you're a smart guy but the condescending tone of most of your posts makes you come off as a douche tbh

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I can't wait to watch a f***ing stream OF a stream because Facebook sucks ass.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it'll be on MLB.tv as well.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 https://www.reddit.com/r/MLBStreams/ will likely have the FB game streaming.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 wow that is really f***ing dumb, are all teams subject to this at some point or is Rogers being jewish?
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 wow that is really f***ing dumb, are all teams subject to this at some point or is Rogers being jewish? The owners apparently unanimously approved the sale of the rights to facebook. So all 30 owners are in on it
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it'll be on MLB.tv as well. I mean we can only hope but exclusive usually means exclusive. Its pretty unreal that the media company that owns the team is locked out of broadcasting its own teams games. Its kind of hilarious.

AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I don't understand why people are so upset. Facebook paid for these exclusive rights and sports broadcasting is a business It's just that simple. If you want to see the game you have to go on Facebook which is actually cheaper than Rogers or MLB TV because it's actually free

Pretty hard to do that on facebook. Plus, I'd imagine for those who live in rural areas the stream quality will never match that of their satellite. Plenty of reasonable reasons to not like this IMO
