Nationals acquired RHP Kelvin Herrera from the Royals for 3B Kelvin Gutierrez, OF Blake Perkins and RHP Yohanse Morel.

He's a rental. He didn't fetch anything of interest unless Morel, who's 17 is a high touted international signing.

Anyone know anything about these prospects?

Marcell Ozuna. Wow, dude.

I really was sure he was going to come up with that. As an Altherr owner I will take It, he was due for some luck

The announcers in this ARI-LAA game are annoying. They basically just spent an entire inning without mentioning what was going on in the game once, other than at one point where one of them actually asked what had happened to the batter about five minutes previous.

Trout has a higher career WAR than 73 position players currently in the HOF

6.1 fWAR with 72 games played this season, like what the actual f***?

Apparently Morrow hurt himself while taking his pants off, and may need to go on the DL.

I've had this happen. One leg gets stuck in the pant leg, slight twist and gravity takes over. It's not pretty

The last time Mike Trout won AL player of the week was 2015.

Thank god you guys can't down vote me, but I really thought this was a good interview with Buck Showalter. I didn't expect this from Buck.

"You need to learn, so during the spring we do Analytics for Dummies. That’s what we call it. We take our most veteran baseball people, our on-the-field lifers, and bring them upstairs to go over every analytic there is and find the [equivalent of a] .300 batting average in every one of them."

So Buck. You're talking analytics and then use the parallel of the must un-analytic thing, and probably most old school thing for hitters..... batting average.

Sounds like he should stay after class.

They are calling Stanton's walkoff homerun his first signature Yankee moment. I see this more as the beginning of the Mariners collapse. For me it's just a question of whether it is a complete collapse or do they stick in a playoff spot until late.
