Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Twins sent Sano to single A? Holy s***. Buy low opportunity?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Sano with a 40% k%. Damn. He's always stuck out a lot but he's gone off the deep end now.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 If anyone ever wondered what an on-field argument between a manager and umpire sounds like, here's a very audible and NSFW sound clip of Mets' manager Terry Collins going off on crew chief Tom Hallion. This is old - it's from 2016, and is what is assumed to be a retaliation attempt by the Mets for the infamous Utley slide that broke Ruben Tejada's leg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=potpVc45fuM Aaaaand it’s gone Ah s***. Now what? Luckily, I knew this would happen, so I downloaded it last night. Here it is! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dF9N-N6IOQRttBXOezZHIX7_pd6y7Tl2
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Man remember when some people on here were laughing at the Mariners for the Walker, Marte-Segura, Haniger trade. What a steal for Seattle.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Out of the DR says 18 of the top 20 IFA prospects for this year have tested positive for PEDs lol God damn Buscones, hope we get lucky and it isn't Toronto's rumoured kid.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Were the Jays linked with any of those players? Have to think this isn't just a one time issue if 90% of the top 20 players were taking PEDs. Jays are linked to Orelvis Martinez. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2018?list=int
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 God damn Buscones, hope we get lucky and it isn't Toronto's rumoured kid. I want to be optimistic but given the odds and the way things have gone...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I want to be optimistic but given the odds and the way things have gone... At least he's represented by this guy... Rudy Santini... Rudy Santini rejects 90 percent of prospects using banned substances https://noticiassin.com/deportes/2018/06/14/rudy-santin-rechaza-90-por-ciento-de-prospectos-usen-sustancias-prohibidas/#.WyMpf9jCvGA.twitter

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 So 10% of the time he has no problem if the prospect uses a banned substance? Lost in translation man, I'm assuming.(Google translate) I know he's the most outspoken in the DR about problems with kids using, and turns away players his camp suspects use from buscones.

This is going to sound terrible, but its probably better if the Jays do have one of the ones taking PEDs because that means they sign him for less and get more money for other kids.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Yeah, reactionary dipshits like queen B and others I got mocked by idiots like njh, org, and GD for saying that trade probably wasn’t bad for Seattle.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I thought Soto would settle in as like a 25 HR, 120 wRC+ dude. RIP me.

Yeah I remember people didn't know who Mitch Haniger was. Once you realized he changed his swing the trade looked pretty for Seattle.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Back to back errors by the Mariners allow a pair of runs to score for Boston and tie the game - and both the type that will make a pitcher pull his hair out.... Followed by a wild pitch and then a Bogaerts 3 run shot. Man he is looking good right now, two recent deep home runs to CF.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 The 2nd wild card being one game on the road against Sale or Severino seems really pointless. I guess anything can happen in one game but man that’s a long shot for the road team.

The one thing about the wildcard though is that it's very hard for teams to actually line up their ace for that one game.

If the Astros pull far away enough from the Mariners then it shouldn't be too difficult for the Ms. AL East may be closer but the 2 wildcard winners are going to be so far ahead of everyone else come September.
