saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Pohtani crashing back to earth he gave up 3 runs in 2 innings against a good team. That's hardly a shocking occurrence. I have no idea why they pulled him after 2 innings. Did he get hurt?
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 Came here to post about him. He's been insane. No-hitter through 7 now.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 66 pitches. Probably just being careful with his arm. And a 38 pitch inning.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Damn, what a night for Mookie! 2 HRs tonight off Ohtani and Daniel Bard's bro Luke.. who has served up 3 HRs in 1 inning to Betts, Bradley and Holt.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 angels sux Maybe because they're actually playing a decent team for the first time? They can't play Teas and KC all the time.. and Oakland, who is playing better now (they're up a lot on the White Sox).. remember, the A's are a much better team than they've shown. They just need more starting pitching..
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 There goes the Corbin no-hitter on a Belt check-swing infield single against the shift, with two outs in the 8th.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Blister for Shohei Ohtani. Hopefully he hasn't been cursed the same way Rich Hill has been, and Aaron Sanchez was last year.. where the blisters cause extended DL stints.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 And that's 4 HRs given up by Luke Bard.. he's all but booking a return back to the Twins organization pitching crappily like this and showing that he's not MLB ready.
43211234 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Man, I had no idea that Moises Sierra was still kicking around in the majors. He was in the starting lineup today for the Nats. Went 2-4 with a stolen base lol
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I crack up everytime, simply because of Butterfield.

Hopefully he hasn't been cursed the same way Rich Hill has been, and Aaron Sanchez was last year.. where the blisters cause extended DL stints. Has Ohtani topped 100 tonight? Poor guy can't get outs at 98-99. He should really just opt for TJ now and take Trout with him.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 NESN is actually giving the Jays credit for being a good team. I honestly didn't think anyone had noticed.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Kenley just blew another save?
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 Mookie just hit his third jack of the game.

The Red Sox have faced the Rays 7 times, the Marlins twice and the Orioles 4 times as well. It's not like their schedule has been any tougher.

I have no idea why they pulled him after 2 innings. Did he get hurt? Blister on Ohtani’s middle finger, meant he couldn’t control his offspeed pitches. Angels say it shouldn’t affect his hitting, and they’re hoping he still makes his next start.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 "He'll get it rolling here and eventually the league will pay for his early struggles," Aaron Boone told reporters after Tuesday's 9-1 loss. ( Regarding Stanton Lol that sounds like a wwf comment. Aaron Boone is a hack.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Mookie just hit his third jack of the game. If Trout ever has an off year he's got a shot at an MVP

Betts is a great player but Trout is one of the best to ever play.

Betts is a great player but Trout is one of the best to ever play. If you've watched the NESN broadcasts lately, they have repeatedly referred to Betts as "some say the best player in baseball." It's a good laugh.
