Considering Bryce Harper hit 4 homeruns last week and walked 38% of the time, you would have thought he would be pretty conclusive...

 

I'm sure during one of Edwin's torrid streaks in a previous May he would have been a clear cut choice.

 

Ohtani could have been player of the week for either his pitching game, or the 3 home runs. He did both.

Griffey Jr's 8 game home run streak would have been one hell of one, if he hadn't split it between two weeks.

We're just splitting hairs at this point, but I would argue Didi Gregorious would have taken the honours for player of the week if we're just looking at hitters. You could argue Gerrit Cole was equally as impressive on the pitching side of things. Obviously the fact that Ohtani excelled in both aspects and would have been a top 3 choice in either is incredible and why he got the honour.

 

I'm really annoying.

Any perfect game would have to be a pretty likely player of the week if not paired with a crappy start.

Another arm bites the dust in LA---JC Ramirez headed for Tommy John Surgery. Jamie Barria getting called up for Wednesday, way too early--he only has 16.2 IP in AAA.. he really needs a full season there, but they're still waiting on Heaney and Tropeano to return (possibly Thursday and Friday).

O's pen is so depleted, they've called up top prospect Hunter Harvey.. well before he should've been. But they're desperate..

 

Could be interesting, his stuff is great when he's healthy.

Chances are, he won't make an appearance--O's only plan to use him if Bundy gets knocked out early tonight, as they'd prefer him to be starting in AA.

That is really, really aggressive for a guy who has thrown 30 innings over the last 3 years, and none above A ball.

Way too early. Angels pen still has risks.. along with depth concerns in the backend of the rotation as injuries/poor performance eat away at their depth.
