bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The Rays are horrendous, how many starters do they even have? every game I look their starter goes like 2 or 3 innings.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The Rays are horrendous, how many starters do they even have? every game I look their starter goes like 2 or 3 innings. I'm sure they'll all go 6+ innings against the Jays.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Ohtani off to a great start. Six strikeouts through 3 innings. OK it’s only the A’s, but he’s been dominant so far.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The Angels commentators are losing their minds over how good Ohtani is pitching. Racking up strikeouts with 100mph fastballs, up to 7 now.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Ohtani has a PG going thru 5 innings with 10 Ks already. Hitting 100 MPH and painting his splitter, just embarassing the A's so far.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 That splitter looks like one of the best pitches in baseball. This guy is going to be an elite ace if his arm stays intact.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Semian breaks up the perfect game with a single, with one out in the 7th.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Still gets out of it with an electric splitter to get Olson.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Angels could have two ten WAR players.....and still miss the playoffs.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Angels could have two ten WAR players.....and still miss the playoffs. Yes, because of the lack of pitching depth in the Angels organization beyond Ohtani and Richards.. no idea if Skaggs' arm will hold up, and they're seeing 4th and 5th starters dropping like flies due to injury, lack of talent or waivers..

Good Points Maybe they will pay a pretty prospect for Happ/Estrada/Garcia down the stretch.

The vigil's more important than a baseball game right now, especially this early in the season.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 What do you mean? They're not even showing that.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Good Points Maybe they will pay a pretty prospect for Happ/Estrada/Garcia down the stretch. There aren't really any pretty prospects (depending on your definition of pretty, quantity vs quality etc) in Anaheim though once you get past Ohtani. Jahmai Jones and Jo Adell are their top guys and neither are rated to have ceilings that would be considered exciting IMO. Of course they could break out this year ...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Marsh and Adell could be top 50 prospects pretty soon. And then there's Maitan
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Good Points Maybe they will pay a pretty prospect for Happ/Estrada/Garcia down the stretch. I'd rather keep them and use them for the postseason run.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I'd rather keep them and use them for the postseason run. That's the other side of the coin. If JD, and those 3 pitchers are all doing well by the deadline there's a better than decent chance to Jays are in a playoff spot and they won't be going anywhere.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Marsh and Adell could be top 50 prospects pretty soon. They also have some pretty interesting arms in Chris Rodriguez and Griffen Canning. It's a pretty decent system, it's come a long ways...i would say it's middle of the pack in terms of prospects.

There's some 50 FV players but nobody that projects to be above that. Granted, Happ, Estrada or Garcia wouldn't be netting a plus prospect anyways.
