With his multi-positional ability I wonder if he's worth picking up in a 14 teamer.

I know its Thor, but still It's pretty common these days to see a pitcher hitting 8th in the NL, they do it so the 9 hitter has a least some chance to turn the lineup over with a man on base as opposed to the guaranteed out. Sort of like a poor man's leadoff hitter if you will.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Sal Perez out 4-6 weeks torn MCL lifting a suitcase and falling down stairs. Brutal way to go down, no pun intended, especially for a C.
Willy25 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Former Jays catcher Raffy Lopez made the Padres. Why? .320 avg, 4hr and 1.249 ops for the spring is why i suppose. Who knew?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Former Jays catcher Raffy Lopez made the Padres. Why? Backup Catchers suck. He's probably better than Maile.

5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Rasmus made the roster for the O's and is gonna start in RF on opening day. Could be a pretty sharp move by Baltimore. Rasmus looked great with the Rays last year before going awol. It'll be interesting to see how he fares.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Marlins have pencilled Brinson into the lead off spot. Way to put more pressure on the kid lol

As much as he's an odd dude, I've got a soft spot for Rasmus and I hope he does well (but not against the Jays...)
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Chris Davis is leading off for Baltimore. I think we're finally breaking through traditional lineup construction.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Opening day pitcher for the Giants is.... wait for it..... Ty Blach!

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 It's going to be a LONGGGGGG year for the Miami Marlins..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Certainly, did Miami have any better options than Urena? He's already given up a HR and a walk..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 And another HBP! Bases loaded..too bad it's Jason Heyward. Looks like the Marlins will go into their half down 1-0..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Ohtani DH'ing for the Angels Wow--the Angels are a circus of an org. to be giving Ohtani DH duties when he didn't exactly show anything at the plate this spring. Expect an 0-4 day..
