BTS Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 If he doesn't sign in Toronto I'm rooting for the Angels. That rotation has needed a legit ace since prime Colon, and Trout needs help.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Blue teams are in. Blue is an Ohtani' favourite colour.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 It's possible, but for how long we have recruited him (the longest I believe), the relationship we already have, some of his reported "fits", the ability we have to let him play OF, DH, and pitch, and given the demographics of the city and truly huge fan base from coast to coast. We have a better chance that "a lot" of the teams Where did you pull that out of?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Do these people not have jobs? Did you see the like and retweet counts (for the ones that were shown)? You could probably find stuff like that for anything that happens anywhere in the world at those levels.

I don't understand how people go on twitter, with their names right there, and spew the most stupid, hateful s*** imaginable.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Pirates out now, reportedly. And the Jays.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 So, the only ALE team still in is... Baltimore?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Alex would have signed him. /Sportsnet.ca comments section.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Pretty confident he will be either an Angel or Mariner
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Yankees fans taking the news in stride: Hahahahaha they're mostly lame but I liked the one telling him to go lose 100 games with the Angels and M's lmao
rydermike Verified Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Clearly this is due to him not wanting to follow another Japanese star like was mentioned early. We were blessed with Tomo Ohka and Kawasaki.

That rotation has needed a legit ace since prime Colon, and Trout needs help. F that, I want to see Stanton and Othani in AT&T far away from us. We're gonna have a team with the best legit homerun slugger since Bonds play a good % of his games in Coors matched with this pitching phenom who can apparently hit too. Also again, as far away from us as possible
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I'm telling you all....we will get Ohtani. We are a small "market" team in a "large" city. With a fan base that reaches from coast to coast and where Ohtani can spend the offseason anywhere from the west coast to the east or in the States. So many options and we are in need of a star...especially one lime Ohtani that would instantly put us in title contention. We will be top 3 I think you must be devastated.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Now I guess it's back to hoping for Davrish, Arrieta, etc
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 So, the only ALE team still in is... Baltimore? There is a less than zero shot he is going to Baltimore lol.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 So, the only ALE team still in is... Baltimore? Tampa's still theoretically in, no?
rydermike Verified Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Alex would have signed him. /Sportsnet.ca comments section. Yup just checked.. First comment "Jay's don't do anything good for their fans"
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 you must be devastated. Not really...sucks though for sure
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 At least this is over now for most teams. Hopefully the FA and trade markets will now start heating up and getting interesting.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 #DBacks also out on Ohtani, per source. Teams that have yet to acknowledge outcome include #Cubs, #Angels, #Rangers, #Padres. Possible indication they’re in; not confirmed.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Tampa's still theoretically in, no? they do have Brendan Mckay...they might be the front runners!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Don't worry there's always Kazuhisa Makita. A submarine 80 MPH junkball pitcher. We can still have some Japanese in our lives.
