I don't understand why Gibby has no qualms about playing Ref at 2B, and he's terrible, but would rather go Goins/Barney over just putting Pearce there. I would almost guarantee that Steve is a better 2B than Refsnyder.

Bogaerts at 2nd, Devers at first. Bogaerts bluffed to third, so Devers went for second, not realizing Bogaerts actually didn't go. Then Lopez throws to second where Devers arrives and Bogaerts was kind caught inbetween 2nd and 3rd. Refsnyder makes one of his patented shitball throws, it sails wide of the bag and Bogaerts slides in safe. The inning proceeds to go to s***.

Did anyone notice Goins after his hit (to load the bases) say to Leiper on first base "he's so f***ing slow" and look towards Morales at 3rd base. Same thing happened last night too and you could see Goins throw in an f bomb to Leiper. You have to wonder what the feeling is amongst the players re Morales.

If the Jays dumped Morales and paid the rest of his salary I think it would be justified. Not only has he been terrible but running him out there at DH everyday meant playing everyone else on the field at all times and not being able to use DH as a means to rests guys. Just an awful signing. I hoped the exit velocity stuff would lead to something promising but he's the same guy just on the decline. Cut the cord.

He doesn't really provide any value off the bench since he can only DH and maybe play some first.

 

I don't expect the team to dump him. They signed him for three years for a reason. But dammit, dude is trash when he is not hitting. Provides nothing in the field or on the base paths, and is probably league average with the bat given his age.

Doesn't make sense at all, it's his true position coming into the Show, wouldn't hurt to try and ultimately raises his value.
