Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Bwahahaha... f*** off! Sheeeeit, I'm laughing far too hard at this. Yeah, it's weird. I don't think I've ever dreamt about baseball that way before. I must really hate Carrera.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I had a dream last night that Ezequiel Carrera tried to score from second by running directly to home over the pitcher's mound. Then he got tagged out and had that stupid "oh man, I f***ed up" face. It felt so real. LMAO! That sounds entirely possible, considering that it's Carrera.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 He doesn't really provide any value off the bench since he can only DH and maybe play some first. I don't expect the team to dump him. They signed him for three years for a reason. But dammit, dude is trash when he is not hitting. Provides nothing in the field or on the base paths, and is probably league average with the bat given his age. He can pinch hit and play 1B. And when he DH's Pearce can play the OF. Maybe they could do some sort of platoon where Pearce plays LF against lefties and Morales DH's against them. It's not ideal but he's a negative WAR player at this point on a fat deal. Better he provides negative WAR in a smaller role than to trot him out there for a full season.
