Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Look who's talking. Do yourself a favour and take a slow walk through a car wash. Settle down twinkle toes.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 The Beeg is easily a better starter than Stroman.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I don't mean to pile on gruber, but your point about Stroman being lucky wasn't quite supported during that inning lol. TBH, i'm just trying to educate myself on some of the advanced stats i don't 100% understand. So when i come off sounding stupid for asking, i get piled on.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 He's trash. Of all the slop we've used at backup C this year he might be the worst and that's saying something. Seems like this moment in the bigs might be too big for him or something. That throw was a joke. At least Maile was a f***ing rock behind the dish. They're all s*** at hitting but at least give me the ones that won't be leaking back there while handling the pitching staff well.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 That Danmy Jansen guy has to be better than these 2 clowns, right? He's not close to the Majors yet, bruh.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Over / under on how many more innings before Angel throws someone out?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 TBH, i'm just trying to educate myself on some of the advanced stats i don't 100% understand. So when i come off sounding stupid for asking, i get piled on. Nah don't worry, I appreciate you trying to expand your knowledge of newer stats. By FIP and xFIP, you would be right that Stroman has benefited from some luck, however even if his ERA matched those two, Stroman would still be performing admirably. Remember this is the AL East and he plays in a hitter's park so his numbers are expected to be higher than some of his counterparts around the league.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 He's not close to the Majors yet, bruh. A lot closer than Lopez will ever be.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 He's not close to the Majors yet, bruh. Not close Spanky? I know Shatkins tend to be more conservative with their prospect development, but he's tearing up AAA right now and most reports on his defense are quite decent.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 A lot closer than Lopez will ever be. Raffy's in the Majors, Gruber logic.^^^^
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Maybe next September, sure. That's possible, but I could see him as the BU as early as next April.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Raffy's in the Majors, Gruber logic.^^^^ Man you're dumb.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 That's possible, but I could see him as the BU as early as next April. Easy, the only reason he's in AAA is from injuries and to fill room. That's super aggressive, man
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Man you're dumb. Says the stump.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Easy, the only reason he's in AAA is from injuries and to fill room. That's super aggressive, man The only reason Lopez is in the majors is for that exact same reason stooge.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Well this Spanky generated series GDT will guarantee a Boston sweep. Spanky's SAAG is top notch
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 The only reason Lopez is in the majors is for that exact same reason stooge. No s***, gimp! I'm talking to HIM about Jansen.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 No s***, gimp! I'm talking to HIM about Jansen. You come off sounding like Lopez is the BETTER option. Jansen will outperform Lopez at the MLB level right now and it's all about starting his MLB clock too soon in a nothing season (same with Maguire).
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 You come off sounding like Lopez is the BETTER option. Never said this once, ya stunned f***ing toe-rag. As for the rest, thanks coach!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 For the record Clayton Keyes is not 6'8" as they said. Ben Abram is the u18 player that is 6'8".
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 FFS, if we're gonna sacrifice, at least do it with someone who knows how.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 There is zero chance you get a triple play by letting that drop...unless Lopez fell, died or just decided to walk back to the dugout.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 That is so f***ing close...but 95% of umps are calling that foul just based on where it ended up bouncing.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 That is so f***ing close...but 95% of umps are calling that foul just based on where it ended up bouncing. Yeah, 50-50 imo. Don't have an issue with the call.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 FFS, if we're gonna sacrifice, at least do it with someone who knows how. This really annoys me...we cant even get a mediocre sac bunt, it's like anyone who becomes a Blue Jay doesn't know how to bunt
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Lol Junior Cruz, nice one Buck. I think you were going for Jose Cruz Jr.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
