My understanding was that Alford was to be out 4-6 weeks. He was injured back on May 23 so perhaps after the allstar break? I havent heard anything in terms of updates.

 

We could really use Pompey and Alford being healthy for more than a few weeks at a time lol. At least give us the chance to watch the young guys figure it out at the MLB level if they can.

He's been annoyingly valuable to us at times, so he's an okay 4th outfielder. The problem is that Gibbons seems to think he's a better fit against RHP than Pearce, and Carrera might have the lowest baseball IQ I've ever seen (I wasn't able to watch Moises Sierra play for us).
