gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 So, Devon Travis is out for the year. It appears we're getting close to realizing that it's probable he's not a long term solution.

It appears we're getting close to realizing that it's probable he's not a long term solution. Its really frustrating because he's a great player with a great attitude... I want him to be my favorite blue jay but it's really hard when he's injured all the time. Hopefully we can pick up another quality infielder next season to cover 2B/SS/3B when Travis/Tulo/JD are injured.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Source? No one has reported he's out for the year. Writing is pretty much on the wall. He had surgery and when he had surgery in the offseason he was out for 4-5 months.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Toronto has yet to place a formal timeline on Travis’ absence, though the 26-year-old acknowledged last week that the new bone bruise and cartilage damage suffered in the same right knee that he suffered in the offseason would keep him out for an extended period. Travis expressed frustration to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi at the time, explaining that there’s no one incident to which he can tie the injury, which he initially felt after a lengthy flight from Toronto to Oakland.

I sent you an offer in the LOD which i don't think you will accept but i think we match up in a pitcher for a bat deal. Take a look at my roster!

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Here's hoping we get Acestrada tonight instead of Asstrada.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Source? No one has reported he's out for the year. Best case is that if the Jays are still in contention, he could possibly be back in September.
