Pillar not in Center is going to be the real killer. Boslinger gives up a ton of rockets to the gaps.

These rest days need to be split up. Are they going to do this Saturday as well? Maybe they should change it to a night game if that's the case.

Considering the only reason we ever scheduled day games on the weekend in the first place was so The Beest could have have barbecues during the evenings, and we seem to believe it is bad for our players to play day games after night games, it might make sense to move the games back to the evening if they are not getaway games. (Though I admit I like the day games a lot)

I think all teams should be doing day games, especially West coast teams when hosting East coast teams for courtesy to the opposing fans & TV viewership. Maybe most teams figure they sell more beer in the evening than afternoon but if I ran a team I'd do 4PM game times to maximize food purchases on weekends lol.

Why doesn't this f***ing monkey stagger off-days? Benching three of your top contributors on the same day you're running out your worst starter, yeah that's a recipe for success. Gibby might want to consider a job in basketball or hockey, where it actually makes some sense to purposely tank.

Yea.. at least with Biagini in the rotation mix we can now handle 1 downed man going forward using either Liriano or Biagini as his replacement. But beyond that, our depth is pure scrapheap and that's scary.

Next time we need a spot start from Buffalo I'd like to see TJ House if for no other reason than TJ stands for Tiger Junior.

I truly can't believe people are coming in here being heated that Gibbons made a move that was almost definitely a recommendation from the medical staff/front office. Puzzling.

Haha, read the >5 posts in this thread that explain why your anger is misplaced.

Just look at Votto choking up on the bat, still has no problem depositing that 400 feet to dead centre. What a hitter.

Bolsinger should not have pitched today...a bullpen day would have been better lol

Ah yes, let's have a bullpen game a day before facing the f***ing New York Yankees in a 4-game series.

TBF there may not be much of a difference if Bolsinger is pulled early.

I can understand why Gibby made the starting lineup the way he did and Im fine with it. I dont understand how there's absolutely no better option than Bolsinger though. This guy has been given too many starts just proving how garbage he is. TJ House or Oberholtzer arent ideal options, but certainly worth a shot. This guy has more walks than strikeouts this year its pathetic

Bolsinger will be throwing 120 pitches today. This seems like one of those games where the Jays are either going to win if they score a s*** ton of runs, or concede to save the pen for the next series. Either way, Bolsinger's line probably won't be pretty.

Brett Oberholtzer in 7 starts with Buffalo has a 2.27 ERA. But f*** it, wouldnt wanna lose Bolsinger to waivers. Guys way too valuable

I agree, but House and Oberholtzer aren't on the 40 man, and whoever started today was likely to be bumped on Friday when Liriano is back.

Like, did you see Bolsinger's stats in AAA? It's likely just going to be the same s***, although Bolsinger's complete lack of control is definitely something I didn't see coming.

Probably, you're right. But I'd be willing to take that chance rather than watch 89 mph meatballs all afternoon

Bolsinger is probably better than Oberholtzer, at least he was the better choice a mere 4 starts ago. Once Liriano comes back Bolsinger is probably gone any way. And since Oberholtzer doesn't have options we might as well save that bullet for later in the year when we need it rather than using it for a marginal upgrade over a couple of Bolsinger starts.

Haha, I'm pretty Oberholtzer throws even slower. I understand where you're coming from, really, Bolsinger has been terrible and it's sensible to not want to watch him on the mound again.
