el duque Verified Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Buck, injuries, pitchers in particular, are obvious the human anatomy is not made for throwing fast balls or hitting them
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Hitting over .300 and lays down a bunt Bunting should be illegal
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Greg Bird looks like a Vulcan. I have no idea what that means, but I laugh because I hate Greg Bird

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I have no idea what that means, but I laugh because I hate Greg Bird Not a Star Trek fan?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 you knew that he wasn't going to throw that one over the plate. Take the walk Jose!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Wake up Coghlan? Ball didn't get far enough way. Looks like he would have been dead on arrival.
el duque Verified Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 with José is either HR and bat flip or K, he can not make contact to drive a run
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Bautista guessing again, he saw 1 fastball out of 6 pitches in this AB yet still guessing fastball everytime. That last one didn't even start as a strike.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Wake up Coghlan? It looked like Bautista put the stop sign at home plate and Coglan stopped. Odd
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 you knew that he wasn't going to throw that one over the plate. Take the walk Jose! No kidding. The entire stadium knew a slider was coming.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Is Kevin Pillar a good hitter? he's always been a good hitter. He's just got no power or discipline. The XBH rate will come well down still.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Terrible job from Bautista...would have bet a million dollars it was a slider in the dirt...terrible approach once again with a guy on 3rd less than 2 outs...that's why we are dead last...our success rate has to be about 5% while the entire league is avg around 80% (not real numbers by Bautista has failed 7-8 times himself already this year)
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 Ball didn't get far enough way. Looks like he would have been dead on arrival. Right, cause he hesitated. If he goes straight away he scores.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Not a Star Trek fan? Not since the original two...I couldn't stand it when they added Jabba the Hutt

Yeah, the one change so far this year is like a 4% change in swing rate at balls out of the zone, and a few % more contact on strikes in relating to his career averages. It's not enough to explain this massive inflation of numbers. I wonder if his exit velocity is any different
