As much as I love a good thread about how bad the mods are, Spanky is seldom 100% innocent. He'll be back tomorrow and we can all celebrate with a pint and a Blue Jays win

I like the mods. I just think that in this instance the mod was wrong and banned the wrong person.

I could maybe see the justification to ban him here and there but a week seems too long.

I don't really care about the moderation of this forum since I'm no longer anywhere near as active as I used to be, but considering how many people have an issue with one particular mod, I'm just going to throw this out there as a quality of life suggestion:

 

If Deadpool, North and KingKat were allowed moderation privileges based heavily on a vote by the members of the board, shouldn't a similar level of democracy be allowed to the same members if they would like to see a mod removed from their duties? I think if a vote was taken, there would probably be an overwhelming majority of people who'd vote one way on that one.

Lol I remember being super confused when o2 was made a mod in the first place. He's always been one of the most reactionary posters and comes second only to gruber in the angry old man rankings.

TBF I believe one of the reasons o2 was picked as a mod was that he is based outside of Canada so is more likely to be online at different times. So in theory o2 can deal with spam / trolls etc when another mod may not be logging on for hours.

Its always hard to understand how a troll like Gary sticks when Spanky gets the boot. Agree with Hurl that Spank rarely doesn't get into it when pushed...he has a nose for spotting and calling out trolls.

He mailed gsnarls some whisky stones that keep the drink cold but doesn't dilute it like ice IIRC.

I get what you're trying to say, but I doubt even Spanky would describe himself as level headed! He'll defend the Jays to the end, but he'll also have regular drunken meltdowns.

correct. level headed when it comes to ball, and realising its a 162 game season and all teams have their holes and ups and downs.
