george09 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Alford, Bo and Vladdy are the 3 prospects i'm most excited about.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Jason Leblebijian may be playing himself into a future major league role at an advanced age. If the bat can be passable, he plays solid defense at multiple positions. There is some BABIP noise, but it looks like he figured something out last season and has carried it over into 2017.

Yeah we were talking about this a few days ago, if he continues hitting at some point he's worth a look as a utility guy with that versatility.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 TJ House looks good. When would he be considered for a callup to replace Latos or Lawrence?

admin Site Manager Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 His BB rate is terrible, which I'm sure they'd be concerned about.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It's bad but not horrendous. Brett Oberholtzer is also making a strong call-up case. Spinning a good game today so far (5 IP, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 ER) and his ERA is sitting at 1.29 through ~3 starts.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Yeah he's pitching pretty well too. I think he and House are better than Latos and Lawrence. Depending on when Sanchez and Happ are due back I wouldn't mind either of them getting the nod over Latos or Lawrence.

He had excellent peripherals, OK stuff, good pitchability. Then he got hurt and his stuff went to s***. If he's healthy, it's reasonable to get ever so slightly excited about what he can maybe do. I remember when both he and Bolsinger were popular speculative upside plays in deep fantasy leagues.
