Really? Seems a lot more convenient than the 1pm start time which is common on opening day.

It's better than 1 pm but it's substantially worse than a regular 7 pm start. It falls right in the middle of school for me, so I'll have to avoid the internet once it begins.

 

I'm recording the game and staying away from my phone and the internet once it starts.

Yes Pearce most definitely should play but there was no guarantee that they would do so, especially against RHP and at 1B over Smoak who Shatkins has been fellating ever since they took over. Zeke over Smoak is a better decision as well if you want to frame it that way.

The front office loves Pearce more than Smoak. Unless Pearce is banged up, I think he will play everyday or close to it. It's either Zeke in left or Smoak at first with Pearce playing the other spot.

Pearce played most of the spring games in left so having him and Smoak everyday could well be a possibility!

 

However someone did make the point that Estrada is a flyball pitcher so maybe having Zeke for the game isn't too bad of an idea
