I just read an article that projects Pillar: 340/450/615/1.090 biased off his ST.

was it written by gruber92?

I like how you are going all out and projecting him to hit like Frank Thomas mid 90s version. He'd need 35 homers and 100 walks to hit those rates even with .340.

I think based on his spring training, based on what I've heard people describe what they've seen on TV (I haven't caught a game yet), his new approach, opposite field, will lead to stats like Mark Grudzielanek. **

Anyone remember him??

However Frank Thomas in his prime would work too. His new approach is more like wait for his pitch and hit it 450 feet. Take every pitch he can't hit 450 feet. If his defense held he would get like 12 WAR.

** Kevin Pillar is just a tad below Grudzielanek and could hit like him just by random chance.

Well if he is committed then.... I don't know why more players don't become more committed to being better ball players if it is that easy.

He has not cracked a 5% walk rate since 2013 and thats assuming that 7.5BB% is average in the MLB. I don't know how someone can be so convinced that just because he wants to be a top of the lineup hitter and raise is walk rate 3% its a skill he simply does not have.

I don't think he necessarily committed then. I would just guess there were way more pitchers who couldn't hit water if they fell off a boat in the lower minors.

K f***in' P with a leadoff single.

Don't mind him, hitting a ho-hum .474 this spring.

Has he faced a major league pitcher yet? I haven't been watching much ST

Today the victim on the mound was budding Ace Vince Velasquez

KP just fell being 1-2 before working a full count and doubling to RF off the wall. He walked in between that and the leadoff single.

Hitting a decent .500 this spring (10 for 20) with an OPS up near 1.400.

From what this team has said it doesn't appear that he will get everyday ABs. Carrera, Upton and Smoak seem like they will get the majority of ABs at LF and 1B...hope you are right though

What have they said that makes you think that? It sounds like the FO wants to get Pearce the most ab possible.

Atkins: "we’re likely to see some combination of Pearce, Melvin Upton, Ezequiel Carrera and Dalton Pompey."

When we signed Pearce, Atkins full on said he spent more time trying to sign him than any other player, including EE and Bautista. You don't say that about a guy you want as a part time player.

If he's healthy, he'll get full time reps. Even if by some unexplainable turn of events he doesn't, it won't be long before it becomes apparent that he needs to be playing every day.

You're a moron, Gruber.

Suck cock you fat f***. Change your sweatpants once in a while instead of brown nosing the hive 24/7. You just might add up to something half ass useful in life.

Why Gruber gets picked on

Nothing to do with his baseball acumen

It's at least 75% because of his baseball acumen or lack thereof.
