Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Season over. Down the shitter she goes! Hope Edwin can pick up the slack......oh wait........
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 f*** I just saw this... hopefully nothing serious Maybe it's day to day or something
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 probably won't be able to do baseball activities for a couple weeks...will probably return to golf in a week though.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 My weekend has been ruined
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Luckily it's a extended spring training this year due to the WBC--so Donaldson will have time to recover.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Season over, even if he comes back nagging calf injury all year.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Season over, even if he comes back nagging calf injury all year. Knowing the Jays it's probably more like.... 1. Jays report a mild strain and he's day to day. 2. After a few weeks it's reported it's a tear and he will miss the first few weeks of season. 3. May rolls around and now it's reported he has flesh eating disease and his career is over.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Season over, even if he comes back nagging calf injury all year. So no different than last year for him
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 3m3 minutes ago #Bluejays announce a right calf strain for Josh Donaldson. Expected to be able to start the season. #Jays
JosJos Verified Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Season over. See you all next year.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 All part of the Shatkins plan to drive this team into the ground and rebuild.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Luckily he seems like the level headed type that knows to take it easy when injured...
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Normally this wouldn't be that concerning, but didn't Donaldson have some calf issues last year?
rydermike Verified Member Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Can Steve Pearce play 3rd and 1st at the same time so we don't have to trot out Smoak lol. Be like our steroided former first baseman
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Normally this wouldn't be that concerning, but didn't Donaldson have some calf issues last year? Yes, he had a calf problem at the beginning of last season too. Didn't seem to hinder his abilities

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Can Steve Pearce play 3rd and 1st at the same time so we don't have to trot out Smoak lol. Be like our steroided former first baseman I think we'd certainly see Barney at third, not Pearce.
rydermike Verified Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I think we'd certainly see Barney at third, not Pearce. True, brainfart. Completely forgot about him. All the discussion has been about LF (Upton/Carrera/Pompey) and 1B (Pearce/Smoak) for weeks that I didn't even think of our reliable utility man
glory Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 This is why they should have signed Valbuena.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I like how this team always says "mild" when referring to injuries. Always seems to turn into a week to week thing. Given the wording of "should be ready to start the season" that sounds concerning since that is 6 weeks from now.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Author Posted February 19, 2017 So much for "ready by opening day"
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Twitter tells me last year it was the left calf muscle that was the problem, this year it's the right. Then there's this So a bit more than mild.
Gary Verified Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 My sources tell me he actually injured it during an MMA session earlier this month and aggravated it this week in spring training.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
