KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Was it Vasgersian or Smoltz? Pagan's having a nice WBC, apparently he's holding out for a 5M MLB contract(per Morisi). I think it was Vasgerian. Pretty dumb either way.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Team USA lineup: Kinsler 2B, Jones CF, Yelich LF, Arenado 3B, Hosmer 1B, McCutchen RF, Crawford SS, Stanton DH, Lucroy C; Duffy SP #2017WBC Hosmer over Goldschmidt in an elimination game!!!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Nice. So instead of being eased back in like normal spring training, old man Joey is hurting for the sake of a tournament that is so prestigious that guys in their 40's can come out of a decade long retirement to play for their countries. I miss Noah Syndergaard not only because of the type of pitcher he is, but even a guy that young is smart enough to see through bull s***. Too bad a lot of other players can't.

Why is Jim Leyland managing this team anyway? I thought this ancient dummy retired already. Knowing him, he probably just doing this solely to troll the "sabermetrics" guys because new things are scary when you're 100.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Is Beltre injured? Indefensible to not have Machado playing SS. Yeah Beltre is coming back from something. He almost didn't participate.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Lucroy's framing has been s***. Not sure if its because he isn't used to the pitchers or not but he has been brutal catching breaking balls.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Dominican let Santana s*** ball to long. Would love to know the excit velocity on that ball.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 What happened where he was unlucky? In the first, error by Crawford that led to a couple of runs
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Lol Stanton destroyed that ball

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Is Beltre injured? Indefensible to not have Machado playing SS. They could at least do Machado at 3rd and Segura at SS.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Holy s*** what a catch. Naturally Jones on Machado.
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 This tournament has been unbelievable. So much fun
