So why you feel the need to single out Alberta? Black gold envy?

As far as Canada versus GTA: having lived a number of years in the USA, I see a lot of parallels where in Canada the GTA plays the role of the American "East Coast Elites" of the New York - DC corridor.

huh? Im saying Alberta citizens are proud where they reside, it was the first example that came to me. I've never met someone from Alberta who didnt think it was the best place in Canada.

I think the thing with TO and the rest of Canada, at least for us here in SK, is jealousy.

TO has it all...

The Jays

1-day Amazon shipping

Musicals and Plays

TO downtown is amazing

Close to Niagra Falls, and countless other attractions.

Etc.

However, in SK I have a 90-second commute to a job that pays me $90K and live like a king in a massive, beautiful house. And have a beautiful cottage at one of the most beautiful lakes in Canada (Candle Lake).

In TO, $90K keeps me a street hobo I think.

So, pluses and minuses.

Meh, you're not much better if you hate people based on what city they were born in.

Have you ever met anyone from Boston? I you had, you wouldn't make statements such as this.

Please forward to the RCMP for this incredibly valid and obviously real threat to your home and personal property. Then let us know how much they fined you for wasting their time.

As long as this f***tard stays here and doesn't waft back into the politics thread, I'm happy.

BTW, good job on the RCMP post. My money is on you being the culprit.

Sigh.....this generation is full of whiney pussies who continue to run to mommy for help well into adulthood. The frailty of said generation these days is astounding.

Hard to tell but I don't think nextyear is a millennial.

I read that as the Baby Boomer generation which is 100% accurate. The whiniest me-first generation that has always gotten their way just from the sheer size of the group. Global warming, out-of-control consumerism (they need their house, cottage, three cars), high debt levels, a widening gap between the have and have-nots of this world and unstable boom-bust economies are all a product of the Baby Boomers having taken control of this world since the 1970's.

And the funniest thing about it is the complete lack of self-awareness that this group has. Just look at nextyear's posts as a perfect example. "I'm a good ol' Maritime boy and all those Toronto-folk are obnoxious jerks. It can't be me that's the f*** up, it must be the 2+ million within the city limits who are all *******s".

I love Toronto. I love visiting and I have some good friends who live there who are great dudes. I think the Toronto hate may come from within Ontario- not entirely sure. I live in SK and I can't think of anyone who has a problem with the people there. Montreal (and Quebec) on the other hand are virtually universally hated out west.

This big city we're the best attitude is a lot louder with Frenchies than it is with people from Toronto IMO.

The closest to national hate that I see towards Toronto especially from Westerners is about our absolutely garbage politics. I admit this city is full of libtards and I can see how those 20-something seats reserved for ol' Justin in 2019 will be a source of great irritation for anyone west of Timmins.

Admittedly Rob Ford might have alleviated some of that, both for his embarrassing behavior and his abrasive right-wing style. Now everyone just feels sorry for us that we were the butt of late night comedy for a good two years.

OK got it. Sorry I misunderstood your intent. :o But I am sure there are also plenty of people with the 'grass is greener on the other side' mentality who don't like where they live.

Thank God. Without him, we'd being looking at another night like yesterday with Liriano pitching.

Absolutely I would agree with that.

Lol why? I've been once. Montreal was alright.

Montreal is alright , it's close to the Ontario border so most people are bilingual.

But s***, past that point, like in Quebec City, you are f***ing scum to them. I was 13 and could speak some French but god forbid you f*** up, you're gonna get treated like garbage.

I just got a notification that he won't be playing tonight. So Shi needs to cup the balls better while servicing jays management for better info.

According to Wilner, earlier today Gibby literally said Martin was going to play tonight. Then later had to scratch him.

I dunno, I've never met the guy but Bill Burr seems like a pretty good dude.

The worse thing about being a Blue Jays fan is having to deal with obnoxious Torontonians. However, there is some solace in watching them lose. in that the obnoxious Torontonians will be upset. There is a good reason why so many Canadians across Canada can't stand Torontonians.

My prediction for tonight's game is that Lariano will walk 5 in 5 innings, will be wild from the 1st inning and will give up 4 runs (or more) by the 5th inning. He likely won't make it past the 5th inning.

Great call f***tard.

1 day shipping doesn't exist in any other province?! Really? How do they sell Prime to anyone out there?

Well, the places where people are bilingual are ok (like Montreal) but you head East and it's like the Anglophones are the Christians to the Francophones' Muslims, in like...Egypt. They treat you like you're subhuman because they are so f***ing terrified that the English speaking demons are coming to smash their culture for some reason when, realistically, none of us give a s***.

On top of that, they whine about everything. Read up on the Meech Lake Accord to get an idea of what a huge pain in the ass Quebec is.

Making up your own words now. Time to put your big boy pants on.

Blue Jays lineup looks absolutely weak compared to the Yankees lineup.

Toronto Raptors, Argonauts and Maple leafs are a joke.

I don't know about that JD man, you think maybe he needs to be moved down to 8th instead of 6th. Homeboy just ain't ready..

Yes, I was wrong about JD, he already has his swing back. Good for him. But how long will it take Tulowitzki to get his swing back.
