Scherzer was pitching a gem in Miami, no-hitter through 7 innings. It all fell apart in the 8th though, and now Washington is losing 2-1.

 

Baseball is weird.

 

Really bad. He loses the no-hitter in the 8th on an infield single that went off his glove and dribbled to the SS. Then Miami scores 2 UNEARNED runs in that inning to win the game 2-1. So Scherzer gets an L with 8 ip, 0 ER allowed! Oh and the 2 unearned runs were courtesy of an Adam Lind error (missed catch at 1B).

This year's Collabello award right now definitly goes to Ben Gamel of the Mariners. ,354 average fueled by a ridiculous ,471 BABIP. He strikes out a ton, has no homerun power and can't field. How much will he be capable of keeping that magic tho?

This article from Forbes that was published back in April provides some insight into the financials of the league, if anyone is interested. I wonder what the broadcasting deal with the Jays would be worth if Rogers didn't own the franchise. It would definitely provide a clearer picture as to what they should be spending.
