jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I really doubt that. When the team's 9-22 since their 22-10 start? Angelos is likely getting angry.. and probably is ready to fire one of Duquette or Showalter (or both) and order a major teardown of the roster, as the franchise faces a bleak future as there's no chance Machado will be an Oriole past 2018 (he's likely bound for the Yankees or another club in need of a 3B), and their farm is barren of any MLB-ready talent.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 They're not winning convincingly Not firing on all cylinders But good teamsgo through spells like this If they stay healthy they'll be in contention Definitely, the Sox will be there--but it's not a good thing when the Sox bullpen is throwing so many innings in a short period of time, when Pomeranz is ineffective, they've got a AAA starter in Brian Johnson in the 5th spot, E-Rod and Wright are on the DL, and Price and Porcello have struggled.. the offense needs to show up, especially against bad teams. Back-to-back extra inning games take a toll on the 'pen..
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 lab tests show that MLB may be juicing balls https://theringer.com/2017-mlb-home-run-spike-juiced-ball-testing-reveal-155cd21108bc Yet Manfred decides to lie about it. Can we get Selig back? Manfred is like MLB's own Justin Trudeau.

Sorry, but how is allowing him to play baseball analogous to accepting child molestation? Sorry to interrupt your virtue signaling on this issue, but this is a stretch too far.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Hey guys, just so you know, I'm fully against child molestation. I'm also very much anti murder and armed robbery. Am I the greatest human being ever or what?

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I think we all know it's the latter. The Mariners have been a disgustingly bad offensive for a decade now and nothing has changed. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2017&month=0&season1=2017&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=16,d Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

I'm suggesting if no ML team is willing to sign this guy and let them play baseball for them - why would a team overseas? Different morals over there? or could a team in Korea simply avoid the PR nightmare because he's foreign? That said - I am trolling you on this issue. It's fun.

This is what I like about the board...someone can be on a Rantpage, causing as much trouble as they can, but nothing unifies the board like proving Grant wrong.

Why would overseas be any different than MLB? Because maybe cultures out East aren't as bloodthirsty for "justice" and vengeance like we are for people we neither know nor have ever met. Plus, those leagues are a lot shittier so talent goes a longer way.

If they want to shake off a 15 year old finger blasting a 4 year old because he's a good pitcher, then all the power to them I guess.
