If Stroman is jealous for whatever reason, then maybe he should pitch better in 2017.

 

If there are two people you want feuding on the team, it's two starting pitchers. They will never be on the field at the same time and will never have to work as a team, at least on the field where things matter. No trade necessary. I'd be more concerned if Donaldson was mad at Tulowitzki for usurping his video game buddy's (Goins) job or something.

I got Stroman to sign a few items when I went to Dunedin last spring and he was actually one of the better ones I found. Signed 2 baseballs and even took a pic.

 

Funny because I thought of Donaldson when I heard that statement. Shouldn't complain because he did sign a couple baseballs but literally didn't look at the person and it was more of a scribble than an autograph. At the STH singing in Toronto a kid asked him if he could put "MVP 15" on the ball and he said "We don't do that here, kid"

Now that I'm on that topic most of the guys on the Jays were pretty good with the fans and autographs. Dickey hated it and Martin literally didn't show up to the event.

Back in 2015 I went to the Jays autograph night after the game (thanks pickoff22)

 

From what I recall from that day:

-Bautista was very observant on autographs, even telling a fan that signing an authenticated ball would revoke its authenticity and wanted to make sure

-Edwin made a fuss with the organizers for staying longer than he should have

-Stroman got a kick out of my "Runnin' Thru the 6ix with my Stro" shirt. Couldn't get it signed though. He also has a peculiar fashion sense

I went to the team signing in Dunedin one year. The lady in front of me had been there the year before and took a picture of Doc....then she got this amateur photo blown up into like a 24" x 36" framed picture and brought that for Doc to sign. The WTF look on his face when he saw this lady was priceless. Turns out Doc was wearing the same golf shirt that day as was in the picture - which Adam Lind gladly pointed out to him. It was awesome.

I'm not talking about the kids that idolize players or people with collections, but the ones similar to the one in the Alex Rios temper tantrum video who use kids to get signatures and then get angry when the player isn't kowtowing to them.

 

Players hate those guys but at the STH signings and at games its mostly kids and older guys with collections. The worst you could ever do is try to get an autograph when they are eating dinner or with their family/away from the ballpark.

 

I like to collect signed baseballs but you basically have to sell a few to afford a collection. Like I sold one of my JD signed balls for $150 in order to get a Votto ball I wouldn't be able to get. And at $25/ball its a pretty expensive hobby.
