TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Wasn't Maddon's whole thing with the Rays that he listened to the front office and the analytics peoples and was willing to apply what they said? Not nearly as much as it is now with Cash (they meet with him every day) but yeah his willingness to listen was key, but i don't think they ever interfered with actual game day decisions. I think people are blowing the Chapman thing out of proportion. Pitch him tomorrow, if he gets hurt...not your problem anymore.
Doug Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I wouldn't want to be cluber facing the cubs tomorrow
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Man the middle of the Cubs lineup is cooking with rocket fuel now.

Maddon probably does overthink some things.
Doug Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 This series appears much closer than it actually is. Cubs are ahead by a mile now
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Rizzo wow lol bye Indians wow Wow!!!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 If Maddon brings Chapman back here its worse than Gibbons pen management.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Why is Maddon running Chapman out there?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 MGL has been rambling on a lot of different fronts though. Maddon probably does overthink some things. I love me some Maddon. But I don't think he's a brilliant strategic manager. I think he's a great person and entertaining as f***, and most importantly willing to take the heat when one of his moves don't work out. Likely is the biggest proof that manager's decisions don't really effect the game...yet I'd still love him as my manager.

vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Holy f*** get him out of the game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 This is one of the worst managerial moves ever. Bringing Chapman back with a 7 run lead! And there is a game tomorrow...
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Chapman again? Wtf are you doing Maddon?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Why is Maddon running Chapman out there? Why not keep him fresh for tommorrow
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Madden has gone mad. Praying for a rain out tomorrow?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I actually really hope this blows up in Maddon's face tomorrow. This is incredibly stupid.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Even Gibbons would have taken Chapman out in this situation. Maddon's out of his mind.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Why is Maddon running Chapman out there? I guess he doesn't give a f***, as Hurl mentioned, tomorrow's his last game with the Cubs.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 So does everyone still think Maddon is some kind of genius?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 what the f*** was the point of him coming out?
Nabru Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 People think Maddon, Francona, etc. are immune from criticism. If you've watched Maddon for a long period of time, you'd see he does his fair share of questionable things.
Tom Provisional Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Indians have a good chance tomorrow
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 not even gibby is this crazy
