Kinda feel this way to about Upton do I really care what I get back as long as he is off the team.

Certainly. A lefty that gets grounders is always nice to have as depth.

Anyone else kinda want Sean Doolittle?

 

I'd like to get Tolleson. FA, should come cheap, good upside. Chacin too, if we could convince him to become a reliever.

 

Doolittle would be nice, but there's really no reason for Oakland to trade him unless they get a nice return.

I'd really like to get Brad Ziegler. Mostly so that we can't face him anymore cause grounding into DP's against him was infuriating.

There's also no doubt in my mind that Revere is an upgrade over both Upton and Zeke. Sorry happy go lucky Zeke lovers :)

 

What i liked with revere is the fact he brings that disruptive energy putting both pitcher and cacther on alert, and the fielders too.

Projections think they all blow. 0.4, 0.3, and 0.1 WAR in a full season worth of play.

 

Revere does absolutely nothing for Toronto, other than offer depth. He's not an upgrade even on the current replacement level players.

Are you implying that they should bat Revere leadoff? Because the negative effect would be the same; max PA to a garbage hitter.

All we need him to do is get on base for Josh freaking Donaldson. He's a severe threat to pitchers on the bases whether he runs or not. This is real, this happens in a baseball game. Ben Revere was sooooo bad last year! Ben revere was also ruffied by an oblique injury. You got to throw last years stats out. Just mark down that he's injury prone and adjust. He's a team player and knows his role. He's a tough out, if your an infielder your on your toes. Who's hitting 3 in this lineup? Morales?
