intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Roof is closed for "consistent conditions" as per MLB, or something. Yet Fenway Park exists.
Don Encartista Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Carrera had one as well seriously, the MLB reason for the Dome having to stay closed is totally bogus.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 It's factually incorrect, yes Jesus Christ
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Build a team that doesn't rely so much on home runs and they might actually win something.
rydermike Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Consistent Conditions.....even though the point of an outdoor stadium is dealing with unpredicatability like a beautiful sunny day, then rain the next day, then intense wind the third day
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Build a team that doesn't rely so much on home runs and they might actually win something. Not sure exactly but my guess is that the Indians have scored the majority of their runs on dingers.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 3 hits that surely would have been out with the dome open today. ...yeah and 2 by the Indians.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Can anyone put a playlist of sad songs together? I'm hoping the Off-Season Roster thread is lit. Actually made with effort. Just listen to Phil Collins Against All Odds on a loop.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This is what happens when you let a scrub like Merritt with 5 K/9 in AAA shut you down for 4+ IP lol. Hopefully we see some huge changes to our offense in the off-season. So damn frustrating..
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Roof is closed for "consistent conditions" as per MLB, or something. Yet Fenway Park exists. You could argue the dome should have been opened all three games. Sure it rained most of Monday. But by gametime it was was muggy and overcast and only a 10% chance of rain.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Build a team that doesn't rely so much on home runs and they might actually win something. This is what i'm most looking forward to over the next few years. I'm excited to see what Shatkins can do with a good payroll.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The Jays aren't making the playoffs for quite a while after this, they should look to add prospects at this point. They have 0 top 25 prospects. I don't even think they have a top 50 prospect either. This ********. We absolutely can make the playoffs next year. All it takes is being smart and adding the right pieces. We have a great core and great SPs. The players we are losing...only 1 would hurt and we can/should resign him.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What? Pillar is better than Inciarte I haven't seen him play, but that .291/.351 line looks pretty good when it also includes a 11% K rate with plus defence and 20 SB.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Build a team that doesn't rely so much on home runs and they might actually win something. Will this stupid f***ing narrative die already?
Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Does commish actually close dome to give non home run hitting teams a better chance? Because they opened for the Orioles? I'm from BC and saw the weather is 18 degrees right now, how hot does it have to be to open and what were temps during wild card game?
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Could we maybe have 1 ounce of optimism in what might be the last hour of jays baseball of the year?? 26 other teams are still in a worse position than us!
Driveof85 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What? Pillar is better than Inciarte Are you on crack? Lol Inciarte is a close to .300 hitter
Baseball911 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 To be fair she partly brought it upon herself by saying asinine things like Brett is not a failed starter What kind of weirdo even tweets a baseball players wife?

Our rotation is set next year and looks like a good group. Especially with an improved bullpen and depth added. I also like the chances of Atkins and Shapiro rebuilding the offence well.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 My math could be s***, but it looks like the Indians will win the LCS with a sub .250 OBP Think that's happened before?

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Jays get on base for Jose to crush a dInger.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What kind of weirdo even tweets a baseball players wife? IIRC, she started it. Went off against Brett's followers.
Mkdaman1818 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I can't wait to see what we do this offseason. Hope we pay Edwin, add some bats (not Joey), and please beef up the bullpen.
