God willing we will be back tomorrow... Over or not, all hands on deck... lets be back here tomorrow.

There is a butterfly effect if you cough left instead of right, especially if your near the dome the air currents will be slightly different... a neuron in Troy Tulowitzki head, will fire in a sligthly different Quantum pattern and he react slightly faster and pull a homerun into the bullpen instaead of popping it up. Do what you have to Just got to survive...

Do what you have to Just got to survive... I hate watching other baseball games when the Jays lose... so I'll have trouble watching a 1-1 series with Dodgers fans full of hope if Jays are eliminated. So for gods sakes Jays... just win one, just one... just survive.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 There is a very simple (sort of accurate) way to measure the odds. start at 50% - every time they lose odds=previous odds - previous odds/2 every time they win odds= previous odds + previous odds/2 So it went 50, 25, 12.5, 6.75 Let's go back to 12.5 -- that's all 1/8 instead of 1/16... not asking for the world here.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Three years ago we didn't know what a meaningful game felt like Now we are on the verge of losing back to back American League Championship Series Back then if anyone told me that this would be the case I would have been so excited. Now I can fathom the thought of how much of a punch in the gut it will feel if we lose
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 That formula is messed up -- not really right chances of winning 4 in a row 1/16 who cares cahnces of winning 1 in a row 1/2 -- let's win one
Northstar19 Provisional Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 It's over. Deal with it. Your about to get swept on our the door like the trash that team is. A bunch of losers that will never win sh*t!

AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 If we can get past Kluber on short rest, the rest of the Indians rotation isn't that great. Whereas, all of our starters are solid. Then the biggest hurdle will be Kluber again on Game 7 - but on short rest again - for the second time in a row. Stupid move by Francona to have Kluber pitch today. Should have let him pitch tomorrow on full rest.

Get to game 7 and literally anything can happen.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I will say this: if any team could match the 2004 Red Sox' comeback, it's this one. With the way our offense can pile up runs when they're on a hot streak, there's a chance. Not a good one, but still a chance.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 So we get the rookie tomorrow and Tomlin on game 6 and another short rested Kluber. We have a chance

We have a chance Every journey has a first step... We are exactly where we were last year Estrada on the mound... Win tomorrow... and we basically match last year. We can do this. It's still about survival. Enjoy the night, the fight begins anew tomorrow.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 No more Kluber, Carrasco or or Salazar Just win tomorrow
admin Site Manager Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 There's no reason why we can't still win, atleast take it to seven. We have the pitching to beat any team in this league any day of the week.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 No more Kluber, Carrasco or or Salazar Just win tomorrow Wouldn't Kluber be back for game 7?

Take each game one at a time and there are plenty of reasons to think we can win each one (Merrit, Tomlin and Kluber starting his 3rd game in 9 days). The fact that we have to win them all definitely puts Cleveland in the driver's seat but we aren't out of it by any stretch. Tomorrow's game with Miller and Allen fresh and ready to go has me pretty worried.

Our Rotation is better going forward than theirs

AreBe Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Never give up, Never Surrender! Perhaps that 'difficult' September will help the Jays as they know they can do it!
