EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Great game. Playoff baseball is awesome.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I wouldn't expect Kershaw back until Game 3. The real question is who will they start in game 2. Rich Hill on short rest? Would 2 batters really keep him out until game 3?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Cubs Dodgers is going to be amazing. Eh I thought the Nationals would have gave the Cubs a tougher time. Dodgers are short handed as is. And have used the f*** out of their 2 best pitchers.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Wow, crazy game. Kershaw is a monster.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Kershaw wants to leave this interview so bad.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Roberts vs. Maddon alone is a new-school manager lover's dream.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Would 2 batters really keep him out until game 3? Bring him back on short rest again for Game 2? I don't know about that. You hope to split the first pair and bring him back on regular rest in Game 3.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Kershaw wants to leave this interview so bad. Lol he just noped outta there
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 So that game was 4 and 1/2 hours, and only 9 innings. Jesus

Hill on short rest today wasn't so great, and game 2 for them is only 2 days of rest away. I'd expect them to play it: Maeda game 1 Bullpen game 2 (Urias/Stripling/etc...) Kershaw game 3 Hill game 4 Maeda game 5 Kershaw (short rest) game 6 Hill/Bullpen (short rest) game 7
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 So that game was 4 and 1/2 hours, and only 9 innings. Jesus Manfried is gonna love this!!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 That has to be one of the longest 9-inning games in history
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 That has to be one of the longest 9-inning games in history Was the longest in post-season history, not sure where it stands overall.
intrigid Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 That has to be one of the longest 9-inning games in history I believe the 7th inning itself was the 2nd longest of any inning n MLB history. The record is 1 hour 8 minutes, between the Tigers and Rangers in 2004, an inning in which 18 runs scored.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Another somewhat disappointing season for the Nats
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Dave Robert's says Kershaw came to him before the game and told him he and the coaching staff thought he was "good to go" if he needed him to pitch in relief

flafson Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Wow Fangraphs gives the Dodgers higher chance to win the world series than the cubs. That puts us as third best in their projection.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Nationals 3rd base coach should be fired for sending Werth. That was a game changing, terrible decision.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Too bad Dodgers fans have to watch all their playoff games at 5pm. What a s***** start time What a f***ing ridiculous Joke. This is why they are voting for Trump. The absolute greed and stupidity and s***ing on the common man. The common Joe from Cleveland, or Rob Ford voter from Toronto, or non-hollyood LAer gets _maybe_ half a game after working a 9:00 to 5:00. While the f***ing elitist, coorporate hipster from Chicago, works their fake job, and then gets a perfect game time, drinks some beers, and shows up at their fake job at 10:45 the next day.

I really doubt that's the way it works.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I really doubt that's the way it works. What part of it do you disagree with?? This __IS__ the Trump phenomena in a nutshell. 1. Ordinary guy goes to work, or sits down at night to watch his game, or gos to his bowling Alley. 2. Job is moved to mexico, game is over before he gets home, bowling alleay closes. 3. Guy is frustrated, coorporate elite *******s have taken away everything he liked. 4. Guy listens to Rush Limbaugh, it is the only that makes sense any more. 5. Ironically Limbaugh a fake shitball put out there by same coorporate hipsters who f***ed him. 6. World makes no sense. Trump is an *******, but might as well vote for him over coorporate hipster globalists who closed his bowling alley, and moved the game to 4:00.
