CBlake Verified Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 So are you going tomorrow night and when did you buy your tickets? Even as a flex pack holder I was not comfortable buying a wild card ticket during the window due to the Blue Jays still being in contention for the division. Even though I paid a little more, I got mine off stubhub after the Red Sox clinched the east.

Governator Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Nope didn't buy, trying to cut down on spending. I went to 4 games last year and missed alds game 5 because of work, I sold them an hour before game time and now I have to live with missing the bat flip game when I had tickets forever.

Dude I was close to pulling the trigger on ALDS game 5 tickets the day of but I had to write a midterm. I skipped midterm prep for another midterm to go watch the game lmao

You're not the only one dude... I went to the first 2 ALDS games. After that 14 inning loss... I just couldn't do it again. Decided to sell tickets for game 5 and just watch from home.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Yeah i'll be there tomorrow night. I decided to just go with 500s tickets for the playoffs this year (since I won't be selling a bunch to cover the cost). Really hoping they can pull out a win. I'd love to see them celebrate on the field. If I have to watch the Orioles celebrate, i'll puke.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Going to be there. Probably wait last minute to buy tickets.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Not going to be watching

I don't understand why people are paying $250 on stubhub for tickets that can be bought at 6pm tomorrow for $150

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Got my tickets in the initial window, bought the wild card just in case and here we are.

I don't understand why people are paying $250 on stubhub for tickets that can be bought at 6pm tomorrow for $150 A lot of people travel from outside of Toronto and like to have their tickets when they leave to come to the game. And since you have to print the tickets it is a little inconvenient having to print them out elsewhere. Sometimes ticket prices rise the closer you get to, so its a risk either way.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 What is this RealGM? I will be watching from home. If I'm going to a game it would likely be game 3 or 4 of the ALDS is it we get that far.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Going to the bar with friends. This is a good day to get out, many franchise bars have daily specials. tuesdays are usually wing nights. St. Louis does 1/2 wing night

Face value the tickets were around $90 CAD each I believe, so basically paid for my single ticket tomorrow.

I even find sometimes its not the best thing to wait right until the last minute since selection likely won't be as good, and you'll be sitting in front of a computer or on the app for like an hour or two before the game. Plus if you get you're ticket late, you have to print it off somewhere and likely will miss the first or second innings. For regular season games, I don't mind, though if you're picky on where you want to sit, you're probably better off buying the night before or morning of if it's a fair price.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Was king even alive when that came out? The first was in 2000 (fun fact I was watching it for the first time at some cottage when 9/11 happened). That was the third in the series and Hayden Panettiere can't be over 30 yet can she? I'm going to guess 2006. If King hasn't watched the series...it's time. Although there was a point where he hadn't watch Bull Durham. If he hasn't righted that wrong, then I've lost hope.

My choice would be either the dome, pub, or home lol. Gotta get clear sight of what's going on, and comfort to match as well!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I spent $1,200 on playoff tickets to find out they were non-refundable, so I did not buy wildcard tickets.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I will be at this game, yay. Very excited. You don't say...

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Daaaamn. How come they aren't refundable? Because Shapiro is a money-grubbing prick who changed last year's policy. Last year, there was an optional refund for unplayed games. This year, they "automatically" apply it as a credit to your season ticket purchase. How lucky for you! Even if you aren't a season ticket buyer. Now you are. See how that works?
