West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 True. At least we'll still have 18 games to go, we still got a shot at the division... even though we suck right now. Jays will need to sweep Boston in Fenway to win the East at best, should be a fun ending to September.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 comeback time!!!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Where did you go? I was in Thailand and missed a lot of this shitshow as well. England. Left last Friday. Just got back this evening. Totally jetlagged.
el duque Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 The Jays are a great team with many excellent players, they just need better management
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Jays will need to sweep Boston in Fenway to win the East at best, should be a fun ending to September. The only way we are sweeping the Red Sox at Fenway is if they clinch early and play the bench.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 f*** it. Let's go O's!!! Who the f*** cares? We could still be three games up on the Sox and they'd still find a way to blow the division lead the way it is going. f*** everything about this month.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Saunders had great numbers against Smyly but Gibbons sits him this game. Just dont get it.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Giants vs Blue Jays World Series!
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 England. Left last Friday. Just got back this evening. Totally jetlagged. I took a 2 hour boat from middle of no where island in the Indian Ocean - Phuket, then a 1.5 hour flight to Bangkok, then a 6 hour flight to Toyko, then a 12 hour flight to Toronto on Saturday then went to the Jays game Sunday, still slightly jetlagged.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 We need a Dave Roberts type of manager next. We need a guy that adopts data/saber-metrics and makes calculated decisions. A lackadaisical loafer sitting in the dugout making awful bullpen/lineup decisions every night can't be great for motivating the players. It's baffling. The front office had the perfect opportunity to get rid of him in the winter. The fans already hated them so how much worse could it have been PR-wise? Gibbons is never going to manage another MLB team again (unless AA finds a GM job somewhere else) so getting rid of him coming of an ALCS appearance may have actually done him a favor. Now he's been exposed as the s***** manager that he is, and the Jays have suffered because of it during their final season with Edwin/Bautista on cheapo contracts. If the Jays happen to fall into a wild card spot now, anything can happen in one game, but this offense is bad. Donaldson has to come back like a mad man to save them, and even that may not be enough with the hole that they've dug.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Got to love Gibby leaving Pillar and Carerra to hit.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Saunders had great numbers against Smyly but Gibbons sits him this game. Just dont get it. He needs rest.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Little late with Saunders Gibby
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Who the f*** cares? We could still be three games up on the Sox and they'd still find a way to blow the division lead the way it is going. f*** everything about this month. I'm trying to be optimistic over here. 18 games is still 18 games. Anything can happen, but yeah we sucked so far in Sept.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Now he puts in Saunders? lol I though he was unavailable, he's had ample opportunity to pinch hit with him already.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 John Gibbons is such a f***ing retard. Just f*** off please.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 3-8 in September after today. Pretty unreal. I don't think I've ever been so disgusted with something in my life. I actually feel sick she I turn on the TV.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Saunders had great numbers against Smyly but Gibbons sits him this game. Just dont get it. And Goins started in a must win game against Boston because of "dem career numbers".
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Can this fat piece of s*** be punted into Lake Ontario now?

I was considering going to tomorrow's game, but after seeing this performance breaking my fingers might be preferable. Anyway, bedtime.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I don't think I've ever been so disgusted with something in my life. I actually feel sick she I turn on the TV. The offense has been bad, the pitching has sucked, the defense has been pretty bad - nothing is going right. They need to get it going fast, early game tomorrow. If I'm Gibby I'm putting for a fine for anyone who walks Steven Souza. 5 BB's against him in two games is unacceptable.

A lot of the Hockey/Bandwagon fans loved Gibbons, and Shapiro didn't want to feed the opinion that they were coming to clean-house. Instead, they are gradually doing it. I feel Gibbons, Jacoby, and even Walker are probably gone after this season. Shapiro/Atkins will want saber-metrics influenced coaches in place of all three going forward, because, going from Cleveland, it's their MO and is also how to get the most out of your players. It's proof with the performance of Cleveland, the Dodgers, and the Cubs this season.

el duque Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Gregg should manage this team, his comments nail the management problem of the Jays under Gibbons.....night after night

Make the WC and struggle in the playoffs and he's gone. If they make the playoffs and do well they may bring him back.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Agreed. We've played like s*** so far this month. Doesn't mean it will continue. I don't see what's going to change it though at this point. The starting pitching looking gassed certainly isn't going to help. Gregg should manage this team, his comments nail the management problem of the Jays under Gibbons.....night after night f***ing hell no.

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
